The assets in the UE5 content browser cannot be fully displayed in the Dash content browser.
Hey! @Perceptive Where are your Megascans assets downloaded from? If they are from Fab, they should show up in the fab tab, if they are from Bridge Plugin, they should show up in the Quixel tab πŸ‘‹ But maybe you mean that you want them visible and useable in the Project Library tab? (Right now you would need to rename the Megascans folder as we hide it by default, as Megascans are in their own tab fab/Quixel)

Copy Dash component to another level
But in the future we will try to have that data directly in the scatter instance actor instead, making just this easier!

Yee the thing you are missing is the DashSceneData actor from the original outlier. It is the actor that holds the tool connection and thus the edit ability! πŸ™‚

Make the documentation website central content column wider
Thanks for the feedback, will check what is possible! I usually zoom in a bit in the browser, I find that that helps me on this website, and many others πŸ™‚

My guess would be that you had a tool pinned in the tools panel and thus the change to another tool did not work πŸ™‚

And you can always go back and change a tool that you have closed πŸ™‚ Did you check this specific section in the docs? I think it covers it quite good. Hey @BrunoMartelli πŸ™‚ Let me try to explain here πŸ™‚ 1. Material Edit and thus RVT only works for individual Megascans assets, when using them from the FAB view or the Quixel view in the Dash Content Browser. (And also PolyHaven from the polyhaven view) 2. And to open Material edit, you should select and asset/surface in the viewport and then in the tools panel, in the top left, open the active tool list, and click Material Edit. That opens material edit for the selected material. Then if you want to open Material Edit for another material, you select that material and re-open Material Edit the same way from the Tools Panel 3. And ye you need to have virtual textures enabled in the project settings πŸ˜„

Hey @amiroseinh πŸ™Œ Great to hear that! 100% agree! Adding that ability is actually easy, but, it created a bunch of other problems sadly 😦 So we are looking into it, as it is super needed! I hope we can do it in the next version🀞

Hey! Oh, alright, this error comes from the fact that you have another plugin that basically interferes with Dash. More specifically another plugin most likely uses another version of a dependency than what the Sophon AI needs Sadly there is no easy way of finding which other plugin this is, but as a first step what you can do is: 1. Close UE 2. Go to the project folder, find the Pipinstall folder and delete it. It is here: (F:\UE5 Assets\MedievalAssets 5.5\Intermediate\PipInstall\ 3. Then start UE and try Dash Ai assistant againπŸ™Œ

Tagged assets in a converted project
Hmm, I think it should be possible, maybe it is as easy as moving the compute data to the new 5.5 project, or maybe you also need to change some data in the Dash preferences file. But as I am not sure at all, I think we sadly have to wait for Monday when @Costantino - CTO is back, he is the guy who would know! πŸ‘‹

aaah now I think I understand what you mean! Sorry it took a while.. If you do CTRL drag and drop and choose Physics Paint, and then change it from random to locked, that should give you more or less this actually. The results will be an instance, but you can of course convert that to individual static meshes afterwards. Not exactly what you mean I know. But yee I could imagine some hot key for placing the asset and going automatically into new placement mode of the the assetπŸ€”

aaah, in those case, if you hold CTRL, while dropping you can see a few options, one being place in grid which maybe helps you ou?
