Question for purchasers of womens’ cloathes
These are some good brands to search for that have good pants that you can find relatively cheap on ebay and other platforms: Oxxford RLBL RLPL Santorell Burberry Zegna Couture Ermenegildo Zegna AMI Brooks Brothers Canali Hertling Incotex Norse Projects I can also recommend you to just look for stuff made from Loro Piana fabrics. Sometimes you can find some custom made stuff with exquisite quality for an extremely low price.

Got a camel hair coat thinking its a wool coat, what should I know about camel hair?
Camel hair / wool is on the rarer and more expensive side of wools. It's way more durable than sheep and cashmere wool and really soft aswell. It's warmer than other types of wool and way lighter due to hollow structure of the fibers. It's the best type of wool you can have for a coat. The only real disadvantage is the high price point

pleated pants that don't break the bank?
I can suggest you to look at uniqlo's pleated pants. Their quality is relatively good in that price category.

Help me decide among following loafers
Well, OP wanted to know about the longetivity and I gave him an explanation. It may be somewhat redundant but I given information that the other person did not say.

Help me decide among following loafers
What do you want from me? OP literally asked: "Also among these brands which one makes longer lasting shoes?" and I gave him a honest answer. There is no way do know to the longetivity of each shoe unless you know the precise model as you cannot make a general statement for all shoes of these brands. Bally's quality for example has been declining over the past decade and they now some models of them are below average quality for in their price category. Nearly the same thing can be said about the other brands aswell. AMI's is on average the best out of these three brands but even AMI has some shoes that are not that well made. 🤣

Help me decide among following loafers
All three brands are known to have varying quality. You can't generally say how good the quality is as some of models are really well made and others are actually really bad. I would suggest to look at them in person and look at their quality. Just get the one you like the most and when you don't like the quality, then just return it.

How do you guys deal with jeans that chafe?
Actually, I just skimmed through the other messages and noticed that the answers were rather sparse and that they could still be supplemented. I then just decided to write everything that came into my mind at the time. 🙀

How do you guys deal with jeans that chafe?
Well, chafing while wearing Denim usually means that the Size or Cut does not fit you well or that the seams are poorly made. The best thing to do is to get other Jeans. If you still insist on keeping them, then you can either cover them by wearing something under it (mainly compression underwear, thin shorts or some long leg boxershorts) or you can sew an inner lining into the Jeans. For the lining I would suggest to get a durable Nylon blend if you only want to have lining at the seams. You can also reduce the friction by using anti friction products. The best one on the market is the Gold Bond anti friction stick or the anti friction powder. These can reduce the friction to some extend and are only really a good solution if the friction is not that extreme. If you don't have any anti friction products ready to hand, it's also possible to use Vaseline (can be mixed with constarch to make it evene better) or Zinc Cream (as it also contains vaseline). You should keep in mind that using such things might leave some residue behind in the Jeans.

Coat recommendations (preferably for wide shoulders)
I am 190cm tall and my shoulder width is around 57cm. I am also trying to get bigger, which is why it may be good to plan for even wider shoulders. 👍

I have already explained it in a simplified version. This has already gone way too far. If you want to you can just ask ChatGPT for a quick answer and ask for its sources. I have also seen the Screenshot of my old messages on the server that you have sent in this chat, trying to make fun of me. I would ask you to please refrain from that. I am sorry if this discussion made you angry in any way, I was just trying to explain and help others with my information 😁👍

Please elaborate why you think that way. With lanolin you are able to restore the natural fat layer. Some wool detergents can also do this to some extend but not as good as lanolin does. Conditioner without parabens and sulfates (these can dry out the wool) can also do the job for people that are heavily allergic to lanolin 👍

Honestly, I am not going to search out sources just to back off such simple information. Just use Google and earch for 5 min. You should find quite a lot of sources that state literally the same. If you are wanting to do that you can also just ask any LLM model and they should give you a similar answer :xdcrying:

Well, you are wrong with that. The scratchiness of wool is actually influenced by multiple factors. The main factor is obviously the thickness of the wool fibers. Like I have already said, you can't magically make the lowest quality wool feel like cashmere but it's still possible to make it less scratchy depending on the type of type of wool and the way it has been processed. 🤣

I have actually never read this article prior to that nor had I made the effort to look up for information before writing my message. I am not a native English speaker and rather prefer do to my research in my native language. I had already dealt with this topic multiple times and therefore from memory. Nonetheless this information is not wrong and more of a strongly simplified explanation of it. The pH level of wool can make a relatively big impact on it's characteristics (which is mainly important for felting). 🥸

Matter of fact, wool can lose its natural fat layer over time, especially when being washed often or when being heavily processed. This can make the wool dry and itchy. The fibers of the wool become harder, which makes it scratch more. You can feel this the most when having wool that has lots of fiber breakage. Obviously it can't fix bad quality wool and make it as soft as cashmere but it still can have a significant impact, especially when buying older clothes like you do when buying something military surplus. Using Vinegar on wool changes the pH level of the wool and makes it more acidic, bringing it back to its natural level. This closes the wool's cuticles again, making it smoother. The production of wool and the washing can actually open the cuticles and make it feel more scratchy. This mostly depends on the way the wool has been processed. Older gear, especially the ones that were created for the masses are the most likely to have been produced in a way that leaves the wool's cuticles open. Vinegar would not do anything when buying a new high quality wool sweater but when you have something that has been washed wrong, has a bad quality or something that is old in general but not worn once, then Vinegar can actually do quite a lot. :xdcrying:

Hairstyles for big foreheads?
I mean it's actually pretty easy to get more volume (atleast when your hair is relatively flat). You just need to base your hair caire routine around it and use hair styling products that increase the volume. Simply using texture powder or volume powder can already make a noticeable difference. :xd:

Yeah, depending on the way your hair is being styled, it can make your head appear bigger.

You can always make such wool softer and less scratchy by letting it soak in vinegar, putting it in a freezer for a day or by using lanolin. Especially old wool clothes may lose their grease over time and therefore become scratchy. Regreasing it a little can really do wonders! This is also often the case with Military Surplus gear as they tend to be older. :gigachad:

Hairstyles for big foreheads?
I personally have to say that it's actually pretty okay with your forehead. It's mainly more about the way you style your hair and the confidence you have with it. In the first / left picture for example your hair lays really flat, which accentuates your face shape more and makes your face appear bigger. Having more voluminous styled hair would complement your face shape (atleast when styling it this way) and give it more of a balanced look.

That is a valid argument. The old version (the slightly more expensive one) looked like plain cotton sweatpants but they have now gone sold out. The new version just looks like a thicker and less sporty version of Nike's Tech Fleeces 👍
