How do you guys deal with jeans that chafe?
I have these nice Momotaro jeans, but I haven’t been able to wear them as much because whenever I do my right thigh keeps chafing up against the sewn portion of the fabric, causing the area to be really sensitive. Has anyone dealt with something like this? How do you solve this?

Wear long underwear or size up. Uncomfortable chafing is a really good sign something doesn't fit.
Yeah honestly if I had jeans that did this I would just sell them and buy a size that didn't chafe. But sometimes a garment just isn't cut for the specifics of your body regardless of how you size.
There's some Rick stuff that's like that for me, where I bought and sold like 3 different sizes before I just gave up on it lol.
This stuff doesn't do anything for me (believe me I've tried it), but it works for some people, maybe worth a try.
But the momotaro store emplotees gave me this size 😦 Maybe ill just sew a patch of long underwear material over the seams
Well, chafing while wearing Denim usually means that the Size or Cut does not fit you well or that the seams are poorly made. The best thing to do is to get other Jeans.
If you still insist on keeping them, then you can either cover them by wearing something under it (mainly compression underwear, thin shorts or some long leg boxershorts) or you can sew an inner lining into the Jeans. For the lining I would suggest to get a durable Nylon blend if you only want to have lining at the seams.
You can also reduce the friction by using anti friction products. The best one on the market is the Gold Bond anti friction stick or the anti friction powder. These can reduce the friction to some extend and are only really a good solution if the friction is not that extreme. If you don't have any anti friction products ready to hand, it's also possible to use Vaseline (can be mixed with constarch to make it evene better) or Zinc Cream (as it also contains vaseline). You should keep in mind that using such things might leave some residue behind in the Jeans.
did you get AI to basically rewrite what has already been said but in more words?
Actually, I just skimmed through the other messages and noticed that the answers were rather sparse and that they could still be supplemented. I then just decided to write everything that came into my mind at the time. 🙀
instead of using a powder or gel, you could also just put on moleskin tape
people usually use it for shoes, but i would imagine it would work here depending on where is chafing since it makes it so the jeans rub against the tape rather than your skin
that said i also think you should just get a better fitting pair of jeans/different cut
OK, so the first pic on the left is how I usually wear it, which results in chafing. So if I pull it all the way to the top so that the four seams meeting point is up in my crotch, then that’s what it looks like in this right side picture. The rise is really high though. The pants button is actually covering my belly button lol
Is this an OK fit or are these pants just too weird for me?
Should I try washing them to see if they'll shrink since they're selvedge..?
shrinking is not going to help with chafing. i think they're a higher rise pant but hard to tell here. it could be the fit tho i think momotaro have smaller thighs sometimes? maybe washing will soften it up though.
They’re pretty high-rise since the button is just slightly above my belly button.
I guess I just have to wear them this high all the time to avoid chafing lol
Is it weird to have pants this high up?
Nah. And you get used to it. It can feel weird at first.
Ok cool
By the way, any thoughts on how the fit of the pants looks overall?
