Try to return (vinted) a stretched out wool sweater or try to shrink it instead?
So I recently got this wool sweater from vinted and tbh it wasn't cheap (70 euros after shipping and protection). The sweater says XL and I do wear XL usually, I knew it's going to be kinda oversized and I was cool with it, I asked for measurements and it did fit what I usually wear so I proceeded with the purchase. To my surprise the sweater is too oversized, and I feel like it was stretched out rather than it was supposed to be oversized. I feel like my options are to either try to convince the seller to accept a return (but im asking here first, maybe im not being reasonable), or try to shrink it (idk how much this usually works as ive never tried it before) The pull in question https://www.vinted.fr/items/5325632586-pullover-herren

Ever heard of Macnicol of Scotland? How to thrift/vinted brands that you're not familiar with?
So Im shopping for some affordable (~50 euros) sweaters, and I came accross some nice (supposedly made in scotland) either cachemire or wool sweaters. But most of them are from brands that I can't find anything about them online. For example Macnicol of Scotland, Lands' End, McNeal and some other

Looking for good brands that offer a merino base layer
Im trying to rebuild my wardrobe and instead of having many useless layers instead im going for a good merino layer, then a nice cachemir/wool/heavy cotton sweater and then a coat/jacket/parka. Also im trying to buy higher quality clothes that would last longer instead of just mass buy items that I would need to replace almost yearly(looking at you uniqlo). And since most of these items would be outside of my budget I will be mainly thrifting/vinted tl;dr looking for brands to buy a merino base layer mainly on vinted

I was looking to thrift a wool coat (and so the filter was on wool) then I realized the coat I ended up buying is camel hair, not sure if that makes it better or worse, warmer or colder, more expensive or cheaper? Not sure if this makes a difference but its by Scabal

What are the dos and donts when shopping for a coat?
I recently realized that I paid last year a 100 euros for a polyester coat from HM, it doesn't keep me warm, it doesnt look that good on me to begin with as the fit isn't very good and the material doesnt feel premium. Since im shopping more often on vinted (less fast fashion, less buying new items but also buying more premium clothes) I found a really nice 100% wool coat by Ballantyne thats made in Soctland. But im not sure if there are things to consider more before making a purchase so are there dos and donts you guys would recommend?
