Try to return (vinted) a stretched out wool sweater or try to shrink it instead?
So I recently got this wool sweater from vinted and tbh it wasn't cheap (70 euros after shipping and protection).
The sweater says XL and I do wear XL usually, I knew it's going to be kinda oversized and I was cool with it, I asked for measurements and it did fit what I usually wear so I proceeded with the purchase.
To my surprise the sweater is too oversized, and I feel like it was stretched out rather than it was supposed to be oversized.
I feel like my options are to either try to convince the seller to accept a return (but im asking here first, maybe im not being reasonable), or try to shrink it (idk how much this usually works as ive never tried it before)

If the seller's measurements are accurate to what they said then you can't return it
They're a private seller not Amazon or Asos
Shrinking it is a pretty big risk, there's a good chance it goes from 'oversized' to 'doesn't fit at all'
You can successful shrink wool sweaters that were stretched out. You can find instructions online, the key is to be careful and go slowly. But it is definitely a risk.
I see, but the stretched out part was not included in the measuring they provided:
They provided neck to hand and bust (which at the time was enough for me to buy it), the main stretched out part is waist
The seller provided you with measurements, and was listed with the right size, so no, that‘s not a reason for return! Also just generally there isn’t one universal size XL, different items can vary considerably in size even when all are tagged XL. Irish Fisherman sweaters usually have a pretty baggy fit, so it‘s likely that the sweater isn‘t stretched out (at least on the listing the sweater doesn‘t look abnormally stretched out!).
