Upgradeable Machines - Upgrading switches on (all?!) powered off buildings.
@Andre Aquila <Aquila Industrial> (may this message reach ya). I'm finally setting up some bigger factories (just 37 foundries to Mk3 for the time being) and so I'd now like suggest to let one remain in the dismantle menu to upgrade machines instead of having to re-enter it, that'd be great. I kinda don't have three hands nor the finger width to press F and Page-up so it would be a real help since mass upgrading otherwise takes a lot more time and it'd be even better than just making the key rebindable.

I can confirm that it works well, besides as you named it Esc to exit (no problem hitting the X, also one uses the mouse anyway and just closing it will be rare). On a side note, I just noticed for Upgradeable Machines that you removed any costs besides the upgrades and I love it. Considering the high cost of upgrades, that simple QoL is a pleasant change since I otherwise tend to have the drone bring me the materials. Anyway, I sincerely hope that BGU will be updated again since moving stuff is such a big deal I'd like to not miss out on. For now, I could not reproduce the first crash unrelated to save loading.

Machines mysteriously turn back on again when building another machine.
It should be fixed now since Andre updated Upgradeable Machines and I can for now only think that these problems were linked and after testing a bit I doubt it will occur again.

I think I can confirm that the fix works since I tried both, upgrading and building another repeatedly without production resuming. I can only suppose now that upgrading triggered the function to also affect when building (perhaps the same building, I don't know) and hence why it did not trigger right away. Thanks again!

Thank goodness and thank you very much. After the function even triggered the switch when building other buildings, maybe of the same kind but apparently not after loading a save, I wasn't sure anymore if it was Upgradeable Buildings and I had yet to test if it was the trigger. :happyko:

Sadly, it evidently does not happen after loading for an unknown amount of time and I have yet to find the trigger. I meant to try that but first disabled the most likely culprit and then thought I was lucky. It is the opposite. :Sadge: I may still try it later but due to the time it will take, I first meant to ask.

I use the buildable due to having it as an easy shortcut and I could see that I am still in build mode when the menu comes up instantly.

Game keeps crashing while traveling
While I have yet to know about all them errors in SF, I do know what should be able to help those who could help: Please, and before restarting, get and upload the log.zip (write >debug to Fred (DM) or any Fred-enabled channel like this one if you don't know how to get the zip.). You can just paste the zip into this channel and perhaps Fred can already give a pointer.

Seems like the crash was already reported yesterday on their server already, though deleted, there is already an open PR. Now there is also something else I may need to test in detail since calling a personal drone (from Andre's) does not work anymore, perhaps due to how the menu instantly opens but I'm certain it did work before with BGU.

Well, if the 'resolved by reloading the save' means that it was never moved in the first place then yes, that's what I just experienced (and I had to take a second take). I'll have to see if I can't reproduce the normal crash since it happened while I was confused about being stuck and unable to dismantle (I did not load a save) while I also need to find out who this Wiremod is (should only be Cable Choices+).

Upgradeable Machines includes machine storage in upgrade cost
I meant to report this too (after being told that indeed I do not have coal) but I'm glad it is being noted down on already. Best of luck and success for that since I really like the approach. For now, I will have to keep this in mind when building.
