Server starts at boot without being scheduled

I'm setting up a home server with paper on debian bookworm. I usually set up a simple start script and set it to execute at boot with crontab, then have another script for stopping the server, making a backup and rebooting that runs daily. I have noticed that the server is always running even when I clear the crontab and reboot, but there is no screen to attach to. Does the "restart on crash" option in the spigot.yml file do this?? I can't seem to find why is starting and have to kill the process manually every time....

Lag from moving?

Minecraft Modded Hosting?

Hey! So, I asked this question in the minecraft discord server, but I didn't really get an answer. I want a minecraft server provider/hoster that will host a server for me, that I can control. This server must be able to be tinkered with, as I wish to add mods. Specifically, I wish to add mods from my %appdata% mods folder. I use some pretty unrecognized mods, and they probably will not be recognized by any provider that has you select from a database. I am willing to spend money, I do not expect this to be free, I just want to be able to host a 1.7.10 forge modded server with my friends....

PingSeeker got me :Sad: How do I get rid of him? There was a modrinth plugin I had installed and I'm pretty sure its what allowed them to get access. They are able to make changes to files and unban themselves. They also have access to console. I'm using pufferpanel hosting through Oracle. My current and only plan is just to entirely recreate the server but I don't know how much access they have to the machine. They claim they used XSS (cross site scripting?) but I don't know much about that....

Is there any possible way to self host Jira, Confluence and other stuff? Or are there any good alternatives out there that are just as good? They have a "data center" edition that lets you self host it but the catch is that you need to have $44,000/year to spare.

Error when sending a message

Has anyone encountered this error when sending a message on chat in modern Paper versions?

It doesn't happen with vanilla clients, I sometimes have this problem as I use No chat reports Fabric mod, however, other people don't directly use that mod also sometimes encounter that issue....

Custom Domain Troubles

Hi! We have a domain through Squarespace, as we have our website through them. I'm trying to set up mc.domain.com for our server. I have a server set up, for connecting the IP:port works just fine as expected, but I cant seem to use mc.domain.com or mc.domain.com:port here at all. I also have Geyser set up but I was gonna handle that later. The port used in the screenshot is the java / default port not the bedrock geyser port. Though I am not sure if that is messing with it....

Forge 1.12.2 Server for 30-75 players
