1.8 Fork that supports Java 17
Hi, so i have and plugin that only supports java 17 but i want to stay on the version 1.8, i know that it is possible but i don't know what fork that supports it can you recommend any 1.8 fork that supports java 17

I wanna add more features to the server or fix some bugs but i don't wanna restart the server 20 times , cus my players will get mad , is there any other option?

i've made sure that i had the same modpack as everyone else, i deleted all playerdata relating to me that i could find, allowed minecraft through firewall, tried restarting the server and updating my computer, reinstalling minecraft, using curseforge repairing functions for instance and profile. sometimes it allows me in the game for a few seconds then kicks me for nearly the same reason, the exact numbers sometimes change. im able to create and join singleplayer worlds but unable to join the server specifically. any and all help is appreciated :)...
Unique Whitelist/API Problem (I Quess)?
Hi I have a very unique problem. Googling it brought me here. Ive made a liddle Video showcasing the bug https://youtu.be/iqFCc4kLdmo. Its very inconsistent. U can see asking a person tf is going on cuz trying to whitelist brings the Server TPS down. I would just continue to whitelist people trough the file (that works without problems) but also every Plugin like TAB whitch constently checks for UUID kills the Server because of the problems connecting to the Minecraft API or IDK what it is. Someone got time to jump in a call? Im down to stream everything and show everything u need.
*Its not a Plugin thing (had no plugins on the server and still the same problem)
**I also allready switched Servers with my Serverhost but it only fixxed it for a day...

Hosting Regions Query
I want to host a server. I live in Australia and want to know if ping/latency will be that bad for my players if I select Sydney Au for the server's region as opposed to the US or UK or is it negligible?
TL;DR should I host in Australia or will the lag for people in US/UK be too enormous and if so should I just bite the bullet and have my ping individually be worse off. This is probably such a stupidly simple question and I apologise...
The Issues of OCI, Modded Minecraft, and a new server host.

For context; I am currently trying to run a modded (334 mods) server and I noticed an issue that whenever a 3rd player joins, the server immediately has a TPS crash. From 18-20 to <14. After a while of messing in Spark, I finally figured out with the help of someone else, that this is probably because Minecraft is a single threaded game and is using up all the resources it can on that thread. This came to my attention particularly when I saw that the CPU usage of the server was capped at 40%.
Now my question is, what do I do now? I decreased the server simulation and view distance limits, and also introduced some of those Java flags. But they seemed to barely help. It is definetely an issue with the infrastructure I'm using (which is Ubuntu 22 on an OCI Instance with 4 OCPUs and 24gb). ...

Hello, I wanted to delete the stellarity mod from my server to improve performance and hopefully swap with something less intensive. I was wondering if its possible though as I've already pregenned atleast the end island.
Would just deleting the mod/associated files and the end files be enough or would I have to go further/ is this even possible without resetting the world?...

I'm looking world gen mods that will be paper (vanilla compatible) so I generate a fancy world on fabric and export it to paper. Atm I thought of getting all of yung's mods since they're good, but I saw there's three main mods for this purpose: terralith, tectonic and litosphere. What are some mods that I should use?
