How to dress nicely for office
Hi, I am 23M, 5,10ft, 150 lbs with a thin build. I will be joining my first job in a month's time in Central Eastern Europe. It is a back office role with no client interaction. I don't have many clothes to wear for the office and wanted help as how to start dressing more business casual and not like a child for the job.
From what I have heard, jeans and polos with sneakers also work in the team.
I was thinking of throwing in a jumper with a t-shirt, polo with a cardigan and polos with chinos/jeans, a couple of button ups but since I have never had such wardrobe, I am in a complete mess....
Need Ideas
I'm a younger man and i'm quite tall and thin and needs some ideas for casual yet business/classy outfits, my main issue is with my slim figure it makes my outfits look awkward. I have experimented with t-shirts and dress pants but I'm looking to expand beyond that or elevate it
Brown shoes with Navy pants
For some reason I find myself adverse to black shoes. Do you think that Alden burgundy is dark enough to wear with navy pants? how about AE Mahogany? Or should I get over my aversion to wearing black shoes? I imagine the formality of the pants would make a difference, say a gabardine suit vs. cotton herringbone.
Denim recommendation - relaxed straight fit
I have some great jeans I wear more casually (this style) but I'm looking for a pair that's a bit more elegant looking and dressier. Nothing slubby or neppy, nothing too heritage inspired, but a nice slightly relaxed straight fit that I could in theory wear with a blazer as well. Would prefer a darker wash and solid color but doesn't need to be "raw" proper. Selvedge is cool but not necessary.
I definitely like a natural to higher rise denim, looser in the top block, but could either do straight all the way down or even a slight taper. I'm graduating from informale je19s which are perfect in many ways but a bit too tapered for my preferences now.
I was looking at orslow 100 and 101s, but stock is an issue and I haven't been able to try them on in person yet....
Shoes that go with this outfit
Shoes that go with this outfit? Struggling to find shoes that go. So far the white Reeboks and Converse look alright.
Maybe the converse are too daggy for this outfit?
What do we think?...
All-purpose winter boots for a damp, slushy, snowy city?
I'm looking for something sort of "white sneaker equivalent". Not in terms of color, but something comfortable, practical, and good-looking enough to be worn for most informal, non-athletic purposes in an environment where snow is a factor and water resistance and traction are important. Being able to drive in them is key, which I mention because someone suggested to me that driving in thick hiking boots is awkward. I imagine this must be a pretty common use-case, so how are you filling it? I've...
Recommendation for a 100% cotton boxy zip hoodie?
Does anyone have recommendations for a boxy/slightly cropped zip hoodie that is 100% cotton?

new overcoat: too tight or just right?
I recently lost a lot of weight and I am slowly rebuilding my wardrobe. I am a tech executive and trying to buy a new overcoat for suits/formal occasions and received this piece from Walker Slater. It's more fitted than things I've worn in the past and is 42L (I'm between sizes 42/44 for my suits and I'm wearing a suit jacket and button down under the jacket. I can move my arms and it's tight but not constricting through the waist. Does this fight look too tight or just right?
Sneaker Advice
Looking to buy some new chunky blue sneakers and have historically bad taste in sneakers. Of these three, which is your favorite? Should I throw them all off the eBay watch list and try again?
Tuxedo shoes options
Hey Guys I made a thread previously on different tuxedo loafers before. but I'm curious if i'm able to wear these with this outfit? I already own these allen edmonds and if i shine them myself, would it work?

or does my suit need loafers like this?...
Buying jeans in London?
Any suggestions for a specialized store. Looking to buy a staple, optimized for quality, the only pair I would own. Would love assistance with sizing because I have no clue how a new pair of jeans shall fit before it "breaks in" (generally going for straight, athletic-to-relaxed).
Tailoring Options/Recommendations for oversized sleeve
I recently picked up a UES tricotine shirt that is sized right for my chest & shoulders but is too long on the sleeve and am wondering what tailoring options (if any) would best help me.
I don't know if it's straightforward to shorten a sleeve like this, unless they can do it from the shoulder. I've also thought about getting the button taken in so the sleeve is a bit tighter and "stacks" the way a denim shirt/jacket would.
So far I've been rolling the sleeve but it's not my favorite on a shirt this thick....

Advice on colours to layer over this outfit, and t-shirt colours in place of the shirt
Looking at a crew or 1/4 zip jumper to layer over for the winter, but not sure what colours I can go for.
Also looking for good t-shirt colours to dress-down this look with the dark green chinos and brown boots....
layering for red spezial
just copped myself a pair of red spezials, so im wondering how I should style them since my first time having a pop of color since I’ve started trying to improve my style, so I was wondering what kind of layering would suit it. I went with the usual straight cut denim pants but I’m wondering what my top should be. I have some ideas for my base but I haven’t thought about the layers for my outfit lol. I personally think a regular black leather jacket would fit but I’m open to more ideas so my sen...
What does it mean to dress for yourself?
So this was inspired by a thread yesterday on how to dress to attract more women, and a mod told me this belongs here: what exactly do people mean by dressing for yourself?
I'm betting the majority of men do not grow up with much investment in self-care things, whether that's fashion, hygiene, etc. Moreover, I'm betting a lot of men that develop the urge to dress better are externally motivated (ie the "lonely men" type who don't want to be single). Which makes sense to me - fashion as a means to an end.
But what does it mean to dress for yourself? Isn't the whole point of dressing well to make yourself more appealing to other people? You could say it improves your internal self-confidence, but you get the self-confidence boost because you'd know that you're more conventionally attractive, and that therefore people will like you by default. ...
any advice?
This was my first full time outfit, im wearing converse btw since you cant see them.

help picking a rain parka
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out which of these lined parkas makes sense and I'd appreciate some input. Does the black go as hard as the green? The green is sortve significantly more expensive.
Thank you!...
