Yup a quick wire in of the new fan works just as it should, so time to break this tool head down a bit a switch them out, thanks for the brain storming !!

Yeah sadly most likely the case, luckily I have another 4028 but really did not want to break down the toolhead again, I have checked the easily diagnosed wires but yeah to no avail
