Allen Edmonds shoe decision
I’ve had a great pair of AE boots for many years and recently had them sent away for a second recrafting. I received a message today that they could not recraft to their standards and are offering the following:
We’d like to offer you one pair of current Allen Edmonds calfskin shoes,(cordovan styles do not apply to this offer) with the full retail price not to exceed $495.
I have a thought to get a pair of loafers, which I do not own and never have, or to pick a newer version of a boot, probably brown.
I wanted to garner opinions about the pros and cons of loafers over boots and also specific styles of each that would be considered classic and multi use; meaning shoes that can be dressed up or down with chinos and jeans respectively.

Unstructured sports coat opinions
I’ve never had to wear sports coats before but I’m interested in having a couple in my wardrobe. I’d prefer second hand and reasonably priced ($50-75) and I’m not too familiar with brands outside of what most people know, like j crew and brooks brothers. After a preliminary search, here are some interesting items I found and I was hoping that people might offer their thoughts about price and quality. Thanks!

Jason Segel’s wardrobe in the show “Shrinking”
I think I’ve found a style that actually inspires me. Turns out this is true for many guys, see article, but I was looking for some help to better understand what the costume designer is actually saying and if anyone would be willing to help guide me. I’d prefer to go used/eBay rather than new and to be frugal. I haven’t decided on a budget and I’m getting the impression that pieces will be pricey so I am thinking that taking a slow build approach will be best.

Opinions on Air Max 90s
Is there anything egregiously wrong or unstylish with these shoes? I was given some advice by my podiatrist to find a shoe with a higher heel than front and I don’t want anything orthopedic looking. I’m open to NB as well but didn’t see anything that caught my eye.
I’d also love recommendations for color ways and I’d be happy to go the custom route. My preference would be versatility (I’d like to wear them with grey, navy, or khaki chinos and also potentially jeans or shorts)

Aid making a choice between cardigans
Outside of the Madewell garment being double the cost of the J.Crew cardigan and the difference in materials - Madewell has some wool - is there any reason to pick Madewell over J.Crew here?

Alternative choices to J.Crew 770 chinos
I’ve been enjoying paying 1/3 the price for clothing on eBay and I would like to get a pair of olive chinos though they seem to be hard to come by for around $30 including shipping. I would love recommendations for other decent to high quality brands that might be easier to snag. Thx.

Non anti-perspirant deodorant recommendations
I’ve got pretty sensitive skin, especially my underarms. I was using Lush powder with positive effect for many years and recently was made aware that they are still using talc, which I want to avoid. I’ve tried Each and Every, which started well but I became sensitive to it. I would like an unscented option.

Buying J Crew chinos on eBay

Looking for inspiration board guidance
Hello.
I’m seeking some help in terms of making decisions regarding my wardrobe and moving away from my decades long strategy of only buying retail when it’s on sale. I appreciated the suggestion to make an inspiration board in another thread and was hoping for some experienced individuals to provide some guidance.
Two prior recommendations were Pinterest and Instagram. I’d really rather not involve social media, especially sites owned by Facebook.
Are there alternatives to Pinterest?
As far as resources, where do people look? I’d say my early thoughts in regard to style is: elevated casual for work (ie: chinos, tshirt, cardigan, boots or sneakers) and simple choices for non work (ie: plain tshirts, graphic t’s, jeans or shorts) I live in Florida which means I don’t have many opportunities to wear layers, unfortunately.

White Dress shirt ideally under $100
After having a pretty lousy experience at SuitSupply and, in hindsight, realizing the upselling that I was subjected to, I was hoping for a recommendation for a white dress shirt.
