Teying something different

I’m going to a middle and high school art show this evening and recently got this corduroy blazer. I think it’s a little big snd will get it tailored but I really want to wear it. Thoughts? I need honesty. Rolled sleeves stupid? Tshirt stupid or pointless if you can’t read it? Thx.

I would not wear the blazer with that tee nor would I wear that blazer with the sleeves rolled

I’m glad you are trying something creative which is always a positive when it comes to fashion! I agree though that i just dont think it works. Style/formality clashing is a fickle beast and can be hard to nail down in an aesthetically pleasing way. If you still wanna where the jacket definitely roll the sleeves down and go with a different shirt. It can still work with jeans although i’d maybe opt for some loafers over boots Maybe go with an untucked OCBD if you wanna keep it super casual but more cohesive

I appreciate the feedback. I’ll drop the jacket and continue to explore. What do you think of a solid white tee with the blazer. Could that work?

It would certainly work better although i think something with buttons would probably still be better I would take a scroll through waywt lots of great casual blazer inspo lately Take a look at some stuff from @Ben (GSH) and @artvandelayimporting

Cord blazer and a white tee

Uh but I will say that I PERSONALLY don’t really love the look of doin a blazer + tshirt + jeans. Whenever I do a tshirt blazer combo I pair it with a more formal pant, and whenever I do a blazer and jeans I’m wearing a collared shirt

I think this looks good, just don't roll up the sleeves, a pair of brown shoes maybe better.

The blazer being oversized and slouchy, the raw hem on the jeans, and the huaraches all work with the t shirt as opposed to clashing I don't think it'd work well with a black t shirt though. White and with some sort of interesting graphic is the way to go here IMO

@Ben (GSH) @artvandelayimporting @Di(ck)gs Photo update trying to incorporate your thoughts based on what I have. Tucked/untucked, buttons/tee, sneakers/oxfords (I don’t have loafers)

seconding art, tucked ocbd and sneakers works. The 2nd fit (untucked tee and sneakers) would look good with a different jacket but the blazer is too incongruent with the rest to work if you had a louder tee and bigger pants it might work but would need to see a pic but I don't think a plain white tee and a blazer will ever be a great combo

Do you think the jacket needs to be tailored?
