My mom has made some totes for me out of big box fabric store ugly fabric and I love them. Makes a fit look extremely cool by being a combo breaker of tasteful veneer and a fun challenge to style. Seeing how EG uses some outlandish fabrics makes me want to explore using these commercial crafter market patterning in different ways.

Bought a rowenta iron and bartinelli ironing board, really glad I took the plunge. I justified the purchases as an expense for my sewing practice, and they are game changing tools for that, but i also have felt extremely happy to be able to iron my clothes, makes me feel like i’m doing advanced dressing, and it’s gratifying to deepen my relationship to my clothes this way.

Under-appreciated damage that I'd like to see become more aestheticized: pilling, bad ironing, loose yarn of a sweater getting snagged as you walk away slowly leaving you in your boxer shorts and sock garters

I have a personal hangup with certain examples of artificial distressing, I don't even like to do a patch on a vintage item where it doesn't need it, but that's also because i have my work cut out for me repairing all the real holes
