My dad on the other hand doesn’t give a fuck about fashion, and just puts on whatever my mom gifts him (so he’s got a lot of Cuban-style shirts and Lacoste in his repertoire)

I consider my mom very stylish and she’s very confident in her style and what suits her. I also admire that her style continues to evolve even in her 60’s and she’s not just stuck in a single time period

I think my millennial self automatically thinks that a crop looks best, but as I wear wider legged pants and look back at my photos I see how much better breaks work for certain fits

Try to pop open the bottom button of the jacket (to match the inspo) - it will adjust the silhouette a bit and also allow for another flash of color from your shirt underneath/show off your belt if you have one on

They’re really solid jeans for the price, I get a lot of wear out of them, and they drape really well on me. A little light for the winter at times but there’s ways around that (long jacket, warm undergarments, etc.), and that just means they can be used when it gets warmer too

I asked around to see if my coworkers who are in the Asian, LGBT, Black, or Middle Eastern/North African resource groups got something similar at their respective events but it looks like no, it was just us

Lol, so it’s not like a Michael Scott on Diversity Day type hate crime, I think it was given to attendees of a work event sponsored by our LatinX resource group which I couldn’t make because I had to do something, but they sent it to me in the mail anyways because of my ethnicity

I’ve gotten some decent stuff from my workplace that I mostly wear lounging at home (namely some sweatshirts and fleeces, a great knitted blanket) but I once got this company branded hat that had “LatinX” in huge bright orange lettering that never stood a chance to be worn by me

Might be stating the obvious too, but you don’t need to box yourself entirely into an Ivy look just because some aspect of it appeals to you. This is a good fit even if it’s not Ivy - if you like it, wear it!

Quality wise, they’re solid, feel substantial, and hellllla warm (it’s why I put them on that day)… cool details too that aren’t really visible unless seen close up (some thin red vertical stripes and just the texture overall). At the end of the day though they’re joggers, and I think I would find more opportunities to get good use out of them if they were regular hemmed pants
