Yes, if you have Ratos 2.1 rc3 (which is very stable now) the realtime analyser takes all the gueswork out off tuning the belts.

You might want to call out in #fix-my-printer with a reff to this thread (no cross-posting obviously)

Too tight or to loose,... belt tuning is an art... I had my RR31-300 WAY too tight for months... now I tuned them (with the extruder EXACTLY in the middle of the gantry) with both belts, left and right of the gantry at 95 to 100HZ and it prints way more quite and precise (i think you can be between 95 and 110 Hz). Previously I was more at 150 Hz or higher.

The ringing should be less with a proper belt tune and shaper calibration (shaper_calibrate). Did you do a shaper calibrations? I was more reacting on the horizontal lines. Did you do pressure advance with these speeds and filament?

Difficult to see how hard you are pushing to make the gantry move. I assume you have VERY THOUROGLY checked that all bolts are tight? Also. did you do a belt tune with the realtime analyser?

Just stepping in her,... Could be a slicer issue? Look at the preview of the slicer and see if you can correlate what you see in the print vs. Flow, preview, speed preview, fan preview, etc?

Z banding on large prints?
Realy curious on your sliced files. If there is a repetition in the bands, you might want to look and see in the gcode view of your slicer if there is something similar on (for example) cooling on/off, rotation (extruding clockwise vs anti-clockwise), flow, speed. I sometimes see these bands as well and can see on the gcode view for cooling fanspeed a similar patern... switching it on or off over the whole part could tell you someting? Also, Near the corners it seems to be much better. Could this have to do with pressure advance, properly tuned (as you wrote) and that for normal extrusions you have a slight over extrusion?

Rapido 2 thermistor not reading correctly (pt1000 on EBB42-with max31865)
Up and running again!!! Had me going around in circles for a while, until I figured out that I needed to reconfigure sensor_pin: PA1,... (whereas I had reconfigured heater_pin: PA1)

Rapido 2 thermistor not reading correctly (pt1000 on EBB42-with max31865)
All, Appreciate the feedback! This will get me going agian untill the replacement EBB42 NON MAX31865 arrives. Two remaining questions: 1. in the manual (I have actually read it, for a change) of the Manta is stated that I should add an additional resistor in parallel (I assume over the short-circuit pins? Beats me why... or parallel over the thermistor pins?). I have not seen this in the Wiring diagram or anywhere else. Do I need this? 2. It is mentioned that the readout is "far less accurate this way". What is "Far less"? is that one degree off (no problem for me) or 10 degrees off (big problem for me)

@miklschmidt Apologies for tagging you in here. Is this a User error or something that is known (or both 🙂 )

As a workaround, if you have a EBB42 or EBB 36, you could try selecting that as your measurement tool (in the analyses page). Could be sufficient for now.
