Very small question
I've heard that DH can actually be used to improve performance. How can I change the settings in a way that DH makes my game run better?

A computer noob who doesn't want to melt his laptop
I've been wanting to add this mod to my modpack for a while, but play on average laptop. I'm afraid that I'll be putting to much on the CPU and harm my pc. What settings should I have from the start so I ensure this doesn't happen? I'm not picky, I would totally be fine running 64 LOD chunks at a medium quality.
Also, I'm running embedium and no shaders if that means anything
