A computer noob who doesn't want to melt his laptop

I've been wanting to add this mod to my modpack for a while, but play on average laptop. I'm afraid that I'll be putting to much on the CPU and harm my pc. What settings should I have from the start so I ensure this doesn't happen? I'm not picky, I would totally be fine running 64 LOD chunks at a medium quality. Also, I'm running embedium and no shaders if that means anything

Heat won't damage your laptop unless you're running in excess of 90+ degrees Celsius for many years Your computer will slow itself down when it gets too hot until it has cooled a few degrees

Ok, maybe I can put it in a better way. How should configure the mod for a lower end CPU so its not laggy or intensive?

Which CPU and GPU do you have? You can check inn the performance tab of task manager

Try the balanced CPU usage preset, medium quality preset, 64 chunks LOD distance That should get you a near constant 60fps

Just lower your vanilla render distance to about 8

So I tried those settings and I averaged at 18 FPS and when I turned my head it would drop to two.

Top left I am running 100 mods but 10 of them is me adding FPS boosters things. I tried 32 LOD render and high detail, low-impact and it was playable at 40 fps but had drops. I don't know what I should do from here. Should I abandon the mod because it simply doesn't work with the amount of mods I have. ?*

High detail can be a bit much for integrated graphics
