Straight Fit Chinos/Jeans for Big Thighs
I agree about athletic fit though, thats why i mostly switched to relaxed/stuff with less taper. i feel like too much taper can make my proportions look unbalanced or something like that

Straight Fit Chinos/Jeans for Big Thighs
bonobos athletic fit is 7.5" as well. Also lots of brands don't listen measurements so there are probably more, just takes time to try stuff on and find what works

Straight Fit Chinos/Jeans for Big Thighs
you could also go athletic tapered fit if you want a narrower leg opening. at most brands it seems like athletic fit usually has more room than straight fit in the top block but more taper
Or get stuff tailored to the right width

Straight Fit Chinos/Jeans for Big Thighs
JCrew classic fit might work but the leg opening is a little bigger at 8.5", but I feel like that wont make a big difference

Straight Fit Chinos/Jeans for Big Thighs
look for relaxed or classic fit instead, straight fit usually doesnt have that much more room than slim fit (at most brands at least)

Cozymaxxing in warmer climates?
linen/cotton blends also don't wrinkle that much so that might be another option for something lightweight. rayon blends are another option too

maybe you'd like rayon, it's soft and works well in warm weather if the cut is loose
