Hair Perm Question
FWIW i am southeast asian so i am visibly not korean although when i went on a trip to turkey this one guy from there excitedly gasped "omg squid game" so i guess that worked well enough

As someone who has had a perm before (just the wavy style, not the zoomer brococoli perm) i would say just do it
1.) Youre right about the first week of not washing as much, but after that IMO it's not really the washing that affects the perm (maybe it takes away the waviness but just reduces it to something like 70~80% as wavy as the fresh perm).
What really affects the perm is when it grows longer (think sometime approx 1.5~2 months in) and then you'll have the first few inches of fresh straight hair that just grew out of your scalp that leads to the wavy part of your hair--at a certain point your hair will grow longer and it wont look good, so you decide to get a cut
this cut is the inflection point of whether it will still look natural or weird, and it entirely depends on how your hairstylist will do it. of course the more you cut the less weird it will look but then you'll lose the waves faster. I think it will be fine if you go with a layered block cut
alternatively you can just perm again but its not worth it after just 2 months
