Summer / hot weather shoes under 200
I got a new $200 gift card I can use either at Nordstrom or Macy's and was wondering what summer shoes i can get for an upcoming southeast asia trip
Something i can pair with an off white linen and a olive linen straight cut pants, or a light wash 505 levi's
thinking either loafers (i have no idea which one to get) if there are not good loafers under 200 then is the Birkenstock Tokios a good pickup?

i’d say get the tokyo’s
for me i prefer the bostons to the tokyos, if im going that casual i'd rather have something i can slip on easier
Why is that
Arent the bostons chunkier
i havent tried the tokyo's but they look the exact same except for the back strap
it’s gonna be hard for find loafers for 200$, plus tokyo’s are going to be more breathable for the hot weather imo
Whats the general price range for good quality loafers?
alright it turns out ur right theyre the same except for the strap, unfortunately the taupe bostons are out of stock 😭
Tbh i think the bostons are not gonna be great for an SE summer trip your feet gonna be sweaty in those
I feel like id opt for something like a Huaracha or some kind of sandal like a tevas
it'll be fine i've lived there before lol
tevas are cool but there will also be local brands i can get over there of the same quality for far cheaper
Nice! Idk where in se asia you’ll be but i’m assuming it’ll probably be humid so id opt for something more breathable on my feet. Fisherman sandals are another cool option that is pretty popular these days too
But you’d know your comfort in that climate better than me. I do really love my bostons so i dont think itd be a bad option
Will be in taiwan and philippines. I guess i shouldve mentioned that i will mostly be in the city and dont wanna look out of place looking like im going to the beach lol
You'd be surprised how some manila city boys still wear doc martens despite the weather
i swear by doc marten sandals i love them
i have these, caveat is they jingle when u walk
but im a toes out person so if you dont want that then go with fishermans
I ended up with the birkenstock tokyos
these are one of the most uncomfortable shoes ive ever worn is it really supposed to be like this?
The arch really feels apparent in the middle and hurts so much just standing up, i guess birks are not for me
