Difference between these two Engineered Garments pants?
Ah thank you @cdfchopper. The SSense measurements make no sense and don't correspond close to Blue Owl. Any idea how to find measurements for how the old season compares to the new season?

engineered garments shorts
I did. Been wearing ~6" inseam shorts for the last few years but enjoying this pivot back to longer looser 90's cuts. Ended up buying a pair.

Engineered Garments fatigue pants
If you know of any brands similar to Engineered Garments with pants with a longer inseam, I'd love any recommendations.

Engineered Garments fatigue pants
True, for some of these brands a 30" inseam is pretty standard. But I'm 6' tall with long legs and can't really drop below a 32. So when the max inseam a brand offers is 30-31, I'm a little devastated. Especially when those pants look so good!

engineered garments shorts
Found a store to try them on and I'm definitely a medium. My true waist is about a 35.75 and medium all the way. Would have been swimming in a large.

Thanks. My true waist is like 35.5-36. I’m torn between medium and large.

The Great American-Made Oxford Roundup
Each shirt was size large.
I looked at Mercer, but phew was I confused. Their website looks like it was out of '98 and that they generally do bespoke/custom? Also, I could tell they did an ultraclassic (very long and very boxy) fit from other reviews, so I chose to pass. And, knowing I was gonna be downselecting to one, three was about the most I was willing to do in turns of ordering and returning, haha.

Brooks Brothers has a few shirts MiUSA, but I'm more interested in brands that exclusively produce in America. And Wythe is made in India. But generally speaking, I'm just getting the conversation started! Would love for other folks to do their own show and tells and weigh in.

Haha yes I believe we discussed this a bit in another thread. I largely agree, though MiUSA is a very strong starting point for ethical production. If you're looking at suspiciously cheap clothing made in LA, then I raise an eyebrow. If the price point feels reasonable and it's made in factories in New England, middle-America, etc, I feel like ethically produced and MiUSA are likely synonymous. But it's always good to ask the store, ask them about their factories, and look on websites like GoodonYou to see if they've been rated.

The Great American-Made Oxford Roundup
For me personally, Gitman Vintage won hands down. It gave me those classic Ivy league vibes. I liked the fabric and the fit the best. And it didn't hurt that those shirts were the most affordable of the batch too. No one made a bad shirt, but I had my issues with both NESC and AT. As a side note - I found out later that NESC actually makes the AT shirt, using the AT-provided Japanese fabric. Interesting. Surprising that the collar length and sleeve length were very different for the NESC and AT shirts.
Since I know folks feel strongly about the collar length:
Gitman Vintage: 2.875"
New England Shirt Company: 3.0"
American Trench: 2.375"
GV won the day for me. Second place was likely American Trench, with NESC in third place. But like I mentioned, all the shirts were good quality, and it depends a lot on what fit you're looking for. I bought the white and a pinstripe white and blue. Looking forward to having these new threads for a new engineering job. Thanks for reading!

Hiroshi Kato Chino fit advice
You're absolutely right. If I do see if Jay at Blue Owl is right and the thighs do stretch out, it'll be because there's no other good options I can find at the moment for a) made in america/ethically produced b) khaki colored chino c) stretch fabric d) tapered below the knee e) roomier top block.

Wow this takes me back. I bought a pair of Left Field Atlas Denim when I was in grad school in 2015...haven't thought baout them in years. Thanks for sharing! I'll take a look.
I look for stretch because it fits my life a lot better. I bike everywhere, and its useful to have full range of motion at my job too. And because I still like a slim/tapered fit. If I was ready to go full Neo-90's Gen Z relaxed fit, I wouldn't need the stretch, it's true.

Quality Brand and Retailer Recommendations for Black Friday sales
I bought my Iron Heart Deck Jacket during their black friday sale a few years ago. It's the only time of the year they have a sale, so might as well save $60 - but that's only if I've been specifically eyeing something of theirs.
American Trench has a pretty wild 25-30% off, and I do a ton of shopping from them.

I did purchase the Rogue Territory Infantry pant, which has a roomier top block, in olive. If I like that one then I may purchase the khaki color in a month or two. But I did hope for a lighter stretch fabric. the Hiroshi Kato hits so many things I was looking for..just need a little more room in the thigh...plz

of course. i'll keep my eyes out for a different cut, though it's damn hard to find an ethically produced, tapered below the knee chino with a roomy top block. A boy can dream though T_T

the fabric is pretty light and stretchy so I could see it being pretty prone to stretching. but i don't know about wearing sausage leg chinos in the hopes that it will stretch out enough
