Strike Gold Loopwheeled Sweatshirt
Anyone have sizing advice on this one? Sorry I know it's kind of specific. I'm in between sizes and despite the advice to size down I'm torn.

what kind of fit do you want?
if you are talking about this sweatshirt, https://www.selfedge.com/strike-gold?product_id=813&sort=p.date_added&order=DESC, I actually ended up sizing up 2 from my american size
SG Heavy Loopwheeled Sweatshirt - Heather Gray
The ultimate loopwheeled sweater comes from Strike Gold, their first attempt at doing a sweater and they win on every count. Available in three colors these heavy weight sweaters will last a lifetime and are super soft on the inside and sturdy on the outside. They've been woven a bit tighter than tradition loopwheeled sweaters to make them a bit...
that gives me a slightly relaxed fit but with the shoulders dropped

that's the one!
What is your usual size and what did you size up to?
I typically wear a size S and the customer service rep recommended that I go with a L
I purchased a L and it fits me very well
It’s definitely a boxy fit though so keep that in mind
I lowkey think the M would have fit me as well. Great sweatshirt, it’s very thick and comfy
I'm normally S in most american brands. I went up to L. it shrinks post washing so self edge advised to go either M or L
M probably gets me the fit in the link
pay very close attention to the length + sleeve length
I purchased mine from Klaxon and their sweatshirts are pre-washed. It looks like the Self Edge one is unwashed so that one will shrunk a little like valchrist said
I'm 6' 215, muscular build, 44" chest. Pretty torn between the L and the XL. I'm not looking for a slouchy fit but also not trying to be strangled. A fairly comfortable but athletic fit is ideal.
It's possible the L would shrink and be tight. But the XL is pretty large unwashed, 46.5", and it's possible it won't shrink enough to not be pretty loose on me.
you should definiately not do the L
im like a 38 chest and the L honestly fits my chest fairly normally
but maybe just see if you can try it out somewhere? either in person or with a store that has a good return policy? this was one of the few things i bought in person because i was confused about the sizing too
thanks @valcrist77 , that's a great datapoint
I live a block from a Self Edge but they don't have any in stock in person unfortunately. So I'm trying to collect as much internet data as I can haha
maybe I'll try to find it at another online store that allows for returns
Size up one size for a tight fit and two sizes for a relaxed fit
Do not go true to size
Oh 44 chest
lol
You need XXL
At least
I swear I'm not that barrel chested haha. 43-44"? https://imgur.com/a/SmMkzKC

I wear a large pretty comfortably in pistol lake. pictured wearing a municipal t in size large, which has a 22.375" (44.75") chest. So I worry a bit that the XL may still be large (46.5" chest before wash) but you folks are swaying me.
a sweatshirt should be looser than a tee
Thanks for the advice. The L would have been the wrong choice for sure. XL honestly fits great in a slightly drapey way pre-wash. I'm curious what it will look like after it shrinks, but I'm not too worried. I think I'll like the sleeves and fit through the body being tightened up at least a bit.
If it's disastrously tight post wash I'll report back.

Looking good!
