Ordered the official adafruit one. After your response I tried many options, rechecking my own handy work with the soldering, probing the rsense, probing the wires, and changing the voltage correctly.
Perhaps there is a dead component I overlooked.

CB1 has terribly buggy wifi at least in my case. Hosts ratos wifi for like 15 seconds and poof. I got a better antenna, now so tj was using rc1 as it worked okay somehow.
