Reigning Champ
I've only bought a few things the past couple of years and they're all really solid. A hoodie was made in China (only piece I bought in Canada), still great. Sweatpants and a tshirt both labeled made in Canada.

Anyone have the summer fatigues? Wondering how much lighter they are. Couldn’t find any comparisons in website descriptions

for non-dress shirts I feel it runs a little large; unless I buy it on eBay and the person ran it through the dryer 100x

Off-Price Retailers (TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc.) - Topic of the day 5/16/24
Agree with everyone mentioning homegoods (or Homegoods), but I feel like I strike out or just never get the finds I see others get online. Great option for growing kids though and items that you're not looking at for long-term, especially for events, like a wedding

Completely rebuilding my wardrobe
Unless you think you'll have an issue buying where you'll be, you may want to hold off replacing/buying too much and just get a few items and see what you really want to wear while you're there. A new setting can affect you in so many different ways, including your style. Just a little patience could help you have fewer regrets

Not sure if saying "nope" is helpful, but any shirt / jacket I have seems normal in sleeve length. Not sure I have any sweaters from TS though (although I did just leave one in my cart too long and missed out)

Body Shape
Some good advice in here. Just remember your body isn't weird, it's just yours, and most of us also have to tweak something with the clothes we buy to make it for ourselves. Also, you're 19, and can still change quite a bit. Be comfortable with it, it's all normal.

They also have their own discord. I always mean to follow it casually, but admittedly don't (ironically it'd feel like I was trying to buy things more than I already am) https://discord.gg/pGjGSJAQ

Can't Get You Out Of My Head: Brain Worms - Topic of the day 5/1/24
I'm starting to wait for this feeling to see how much I really want it. But it can cost me: When I was a day late to Wales Bonner x Adidas Sambas. When I missed Ralph Lauren Polo Bear x Yankees Sweater. Currently getting pelted with interesting loafers and no reason to have many, but also, why not? Waiting for one (or more?) to get me more obsessed. Also have too much from a list I can describe as "riviera/beach/Hamptons style shots where the guy looks great, and not like a douchebag" (to me). These worms are great, I think. Unless you obsess+regret.

Clothing as Aspirational - Topic of the day 4/17/24
I'm mostly pragmatic with this. When I can, I dress for mood. But the reality is if it's a workday and I have meetings, I'm going to keep it neat. I need to communicate well in every way, including what I'm wearing. It might not be communicating status (as in class status), but it could be my audience's version of professionalism or expertise, with a hint of my style (or not). Hopefully that'll match my mood that day, but either way I can't ignore it.

Color series: Black - Topic of the day 4/15/24
I have a lot of black basics, as I'm always thinking "it's a good base" but don't tend to use it a lot. I also tend to do seasonal colors, but even in the winter I'm starting to go lighter, or have that accent be a deeper color. Obivously it's great for a top when I'm not wanting to think and wanting to feel a pound lighter. Starting to like it more paired with a military-like green, some tans, or other colors I didn't usually attempt. I used to use black to make a statement piece more statement-y by keeping the rest of me basic.

Favorites Series: T-shirts - Topic of the day 4/14/24
Got cut off in thought before: I prefer plain tees now. Have some from Buck Mason, Imogene + Willie, Todd Snyder. Different materials from each, and don't have a favorite. Have some Uniqlo, but find them a little stiff or the material off-putting (do like some of the heattech stuff as a base when outside in winter though). Been wanting to try Merz. Don't really like anything hugging my neck or that's too long in the arms. Just haven't found the right cut for me. Need to lay this all out in a separate post for some good recs. I like to layer a ton, as I can get too hot in any season, so a nice tshirt is valuable to me. Still have some sports tees for the right times; and my graphic tees are still pretty minimal. I feel like an old guy cosplaying a kid if the design is wild. Not including gym shirts in the above, but have a few Vuori shirts that are comfortable for lounging.

I've had some bad luck with plain tees. I used to have a ton of graphic tees. Got rid of so many, and now my kids are after what few were left. Taking notes in here, although it feels like more people like heavier tees than I realized

Decades Series: 2010s - Topic of the day 4/12/24
I feel like I ignored the first half of the 2010s, but like others: not going to miss skinny fits (never did them). Mixed on minimalism, but usually like it. Appreciated that beards came back in style, even if it was attached to urban lumberjacks. I liked flannels but I'm a 90s kid. Gimme my grunge. I liked the idea of Americana. I feel like that's still maturing. Can't tell which direction it'll go
