I think the OG dadbod hack with high waisted pants was to get them quite a bit bigger and just hang them from your shoulders with suspenders

Best solution for me was to size according to/a bit bigger than where I wanted the rise to land (which for me is around 34 compared to like 32 ish with low rise pants) and cinch it down with a belt. It isn’t the best solution but it works

Lmao is the problem that you have a muffin top? I’m the same where my waist around my navel is a bigger size than right above my hips, which does cause my high rise pants to come down through the day

Mmm it might just be that your torso is longer or you’re just tall which means for high rise pants to fit around your natural waist/above your navel you have to get even higher rise pants than normal. That being said, dickies 874’s don’t seem to be that high of a rise in the first place so I’d recommend you either wear them a little lower where they’re most comfortable or look for a different cut/pant entirely
