jeans fit

the jeans came in but i lost weight, most notably the hip measurement is way too big. these are deadstock 80s jeans i believe. what do we feel about the fit, and is it worth the risk of cutting of the tags and washing them?

They fit the waist? Do look pretty big but could shrink a lot depending on the fabric If they are non-Sanforized, raw denim. They might work after a hot wash If not, definitely return

how could i tell if they are sanfotized? it’s not mentioned anywhere on the tags, and i’m 96% sure it’s raw denim they are an inch or 2 big in the waist, but quite big in the hips. i can’t return them, but i could maybe resell them. i’m also not worried about the inseam

They look fine imo

You can always get the inseam fixed by getting them hemmed You can also get the waist taken in too if a hot wash doesn’t fix it Hem doesn’t cost a lot of money but getting waist taken in can cost a decent amount depending on how much Might be a good experiment pair of jeans to get them to work depending on how much you spent, if it was a lot it might be better to recoup some of the money by reselling
