Reigning Champ. Very consistent, good sizing options (slim, classic, regular) light/medium weight. Great crisp fabrics & construction.
I occasionally try more exotic options, but always find myself going back to RC.

Normal Fit For 37-38” Chest
Such is life as a schmedium 😭 but for what it’s worth I’m regretting favoring small over the past few years and just this month grit my teeth to rebuy a huge chunk of my wardrobe in mediums.
there’s a combination of gaining a few pounds, shrinkage of older clothes, noticing the current oversized trend, and wanting to future proof my closet with stuff that will still fit if I put on a few more pounds. And with my height, my chest getting slightly bigger also raised the hem to be annoyingly short on some pieces which was also a factor.
Just sharing the lesson I learned to avoid committing my whole closet to a single fit!

Normal Fit For 37-38” Chest
Yeah, you are right. I like the mid/heavyweight tees and sweaters in ~21-22” for a slouchy fit but for a regular shirt the 20-21” is better.

Normal Fit For 37-38” Chest
I have a ~37/38” chest (and 6’ tall, 140lbs) and have recently been feeling constricted with a lot of my slim tops — I’ve been going around measuring everything I own to figure out what fit I prefer.
TLDR: I have a lot of basics in Reigning Champs slim fit small — which is ~19” pit-to-pit. These feel very fitted and I’ll probably just be wearing them for base/under layers.
The medium slim (20.5” p2p) feels trim but with a comfortable amount of space and fits well as my new normal size.
Medium “Classic” fit is 22” and feels very roomy/slouchy.
I do prefer button-ups to be trimmer, ~20.5-21” is ideal.
Shoulder width plays a huge part too, anywhere from 17.5-22” works, as long as the chest is appropriately sized too (ofc the wider the more relaxed/casual it makes the outfit)
With my tall and slim proportions I do have to pay close attention to the sleeve and body length too.

fleece jacket recommendations?
Patagonia Retro-X (which has more structure/wind blocking than the non-X version), and Merz has a nice looking one https://www.witheredfig.com/products/merz-b-schwanen-teddy-jacket-nature

Zipper or no zipper for a hoodie?
Pullover is superior, but a zip hoodie is permitted for early spring days where you just need a light sweaty jacket that’s easy to take off when you get pulled into a pick-up game
