What are your wardrobe plans for winter? - Topic of the day 10/14/23
If you're in the northern hemisphere and winter is fast approaching, what are you gonna do about it? Do you need to pull stuff out of storage? Buy warmer gloves?

Once I get back home I will unleash the woolen sweaters
Haven’t done my wardrobe switchover yet, but I’m excited to see if I can pare down my older stuff. I went through a lot of my summer stuff and a good chunk of it I’m selling.
Lots of old raw denim/workwear stuff that I just no longer wear, but have stored for winter.
Need a cute beanie
Nd more hoodies,cords, flannel-esque fabrics
This winter I'm embracing tweed
Have two trousers already, looking to pick up one more and 1-2 blazers
No joke buffalo plaid sport coat is on the bucket list. The guy from boys market Japan had some done up and they looked
Really want a Big Coat. Of course, i was thinking that last year too.
Tweed pants too
I have a pendleton Buffalo plaid overshirt that I may crop this season
LONG COAT
I missed layering season
Cardigans, corduroy, tweed.
Cant wait to wear my duffle coat again. The ideal big coat IMO
Biggest thing I swap out is Uniqlo Airism for Heattech. I live in Heattech until April.
I need to get some cardigans asap
I've been on the hunt for a nice v neck sweater / cardigan on ebay for a while! hope i can score one before it gets too cold.
This winter I might buy like one more thick sweater and one more big coat, but I have a pretty decent amount of winter stuff already. Looking forward to it.
i'm pretty content with my wardrobe, so no plans to get anything but there's always something i end up impulse-buying.
Only thing i’d like to add for winter is a vintage pea coat. Its proven alot more difficult to find a 70’s or earlier navy peacoat in my size. Find big size vintage militaria is always a challenge but given the prevalence of how many peacoats out there i’m surprised i can find one in a 46-48
Winter just ended for us and it reinforced the fact that my wardrobe is pretty good for every season BUT winter. I have a couple heavy knits and my winter accessories are decent but i don't really have suitable pants, jackets or coats for single digit (celsius) temps OR rain.
Between now and next June I really want to add a full length longcoat in a heavy wool and one two thick wool blazers and trousers. The hardest thing to find will be wet weather gear that fits in with my aesthetic
Rain gear specifically can be hard
Wool isn’t bad in the rain but yeah sometimes you need something that can actually repel water
I have a gabardine wool short jacket that is coated and seamtaped. works amazing and the fabric is exactly what i want but the cut (while boxy and oversized) is not quite right
I might just have to accept i defeat and buy a super cool umbrella
I am cutting down, I am hoping to buy nothing.
We only get like one "cold" month per year, not enough to justify my horde of corduroy and knits and coats. But what I'm most excited to break out is my equestrian winter skirt, which makes me feel like a fancy (and warm!) Victorian lady while riding 😊
long coats 🧥
did u end up getting one? i need one too
not yet but I like these cute lil crochet beanies
i like those too but not $60 like LOL
