Unable to type certain letter when in game
If i am playing a game and i try to use the virtual keyboard, or type when the virtual keyboard is to come up (typing in big picture mode) then i cant type some letters. i can type abcdefghijklmnpqsuvwxyz which leaves ort. O moves the keyboard up one key. R is right and T is left. have not found a down. but these are very common letters and i have to copy and paste from a different application to send messages

Cant mount SD card - Solved
I copied some game files from my pc to my sd card, of which belongs in my steam deck. after it finished, i put the sd card back into the deck and noticed that i didnt see any of the stuff i just added, not even a folder. I put it back into my pc and now it fails to mount on both my pc and deck. Ive gotten this error before and remember i had to edit the fstab, so i removed any entries for my sd cards and tried again but i still got the same error.
An error occured while accessing '953.6 GiB Removable Media', the system responded: The requested operation has failed: Error mounting /dev/mmcblk0p1 at /run/media/tray/numbersandletters: can't read superblock on /dev/mmcblk0p1
PC and deck are both running bazzite

Game will not launch, yet uses resources
It doesnt matter what proton i use. It either does whats in the video, or it just immediately fails.
I used to be able to play this on this pc(this is nvidia), but havent in a while as I have been playing it in my living room(amd). everything is up to date.

Missing executable permissions on SD card
I'm unsure of what I did, or when I did it as I've just been avoiding my retro games cuz of this error
Launching any emulator(launched from emudecks .sh files) gets this
The program '/run/media/SDCard/Emulation/tools/launchers/ryujinx.sh' is missing permissions.
However when I check kde partition manager and dolphin, I seem to see everything having permissions, including the .sh file being checked to be executable7 replies

Steam overlay doesn't work on non steam apps
It doesn't matter which app, none of them have the steam overlay, even tho the option is enabled. I know this is a big picture mode problem, and atm I'm using desktop image since rx580 doesn't work in game mode. the "shift tab" method doesn't work. can't play any non steam games without first closing steam, which means I need a kbm, which means this can't be a living room console if I have to keep using a kbm

I'm stuck in grub menu
I can't boot into bazzite at all and get put into emergency mode, of which tells me it can't even open the console since it says "can not open access to console the root account is locked"
looked this issue up and it said to press e in the grub menu and add a line to boot into commands, tried passwd and then touch ./autorelabel but soon found out it won't work cuz this is an immutable system, so I'm here to ask what to do next?
What happened to cause this was I booted into the windows option in grub menu, flashed windows2go from Rufus onto the emmc from steam deck in an enclosure. Had the thought that since I have no computers with a USB c port(except one in my main PC but it's very slow, which is why I opted to not use it originally). booted from that on my steam deck since it does have one, but then realized after I got to the windows desktop that I was going to need to bring the files so I tried plugging it into my desktop with a USB c to a adapter (same speed as bad USB c port so idk why I didn't just use that) and in bios menu put as boot #1 (tried boot manager but I pressed the wrong key) and then windows blue screened saying
registry_error and when I tried going back to bazzite after changing boot order again and now I'm here with my issue167 replies

Playback of protected content not working
Im unable to get spotify to work in the popup button on opera. I tried looking it up and people with the same issue, their fix did not work for me

How to fix os tree?
I cant boot into the first option, as it takes me to emergency mode just to tell me that I fix it by logging in and using some commands in the terminal to read the system logs or something. I can boot into the second option just fine, but the second option isn't the automatic boot one so I have to manually pick it every time I boot

How to mount my NTFS drive?
I was able to use this earlier, but after reinstalling a bunch of games, I noticed my drive said it was read only, and I am unable to add or edit any files. It works perfectly fine when I use it in Windows, and when restarting (for the first time since I flashed the HTPC nvidia iso) it took me to the os tree, and the first option had failed for a reason i cant remember, and had to pick the second option

Things are invisible unless I hover over them once
I don't know how else to explain it, and searching without really knowing what to call it resulted in nothing. The images show that until I hover over it, they won't display. I'm running on an SSD, ryzen 5600, rtx 3060ti

Black screen upon boot
I just found out about bazzite a couple hours ago, did a fresh install over my previous installation of chimeraos and picked both my SSD and HDD to add as disks. went thru installation just fine and everything and was getting all my games ready and then I reset my PC after adding a udev rule for dolphin emulator and now it boots into a black screen (at first it was booting into a black screen with a
_ at the top left but I stopped getting that. have tried restarting multiple times. have been trying to reinstall, but I can't as when I try to install to the disk, it said it can't since "You selected disk sdb (my SSD), which contains devices that also use unselected disk sda. You must select or deselect these disks as a set." Is the reason it was a black screen after boot because I confused it by installing to two disks on accident(I've never used this kind of installer)? or is it unrelated and something else needs to be done59 replies
