decky v3 not working correctly

As mentioned in this thread of replies https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1087140957096517672/1283955119565705279 Decky v3 seems to not work on bazzite deck stable I was able to fix the bootlooping by wiping and reinstalling decky again. But now decky does not load in game mode. It only loads when using steam big picture in desktop mode I have tried both the pre release of decky and the stable and I am using the latest stable steam client

HDMI display port adapters no longer work in steam gamemode (desktop works fine)

my tv shows a black screen whenever trying to accses steam game mode. I think it maybe the resolution steam is trying to run out. Is there anyway to force steam to run at a certain resolution or force a "safe mode"? I noticed on my deck that in display settings there is an option for a "safe mode" but I can't accses it on my pc because I get no output and the option dosn't seem to be available on the desktop Sys info: https://paste.centos.org/view/1b982d0c

auto start solaar installed from pip

how ever I can't get solaar to auto start with kde I tried adding the app menu shortcut to my auto start but it doesn't work. I'm guessing because its installed through pip? I need the pip version because of this issue https://github.com/pwr-Solaar/Solaar/issues/2578

Black screen in desktop mode deck

after updating recenctly I noticed that desktop mode just shows a black screen (no cursor or anything) on my deck's screen if I connect an external monitor everything displays fine there but the decks screen stays black

PATH problems with hombrew

I am having several PATH problems with my bazzite install on my desktop PC first sometimes brew packages are randomly not found for example I have the bazzite-cli bling enabled and running cat gives

External displays do not work on deck with bazzite

I have setup bazzite on my 512GB LCD steam deck and everything beed working except I can't connect it to an external display. I tried the same dock I used on steamos (it was a laptop dock) and the usb ports are reconized but not the HDMI ports. went into the desktop and ran kscreen-doctor -o and it only showed the built in display it is not detecting any external displays

transfer home directroy to another machine (also running bazzite KDE)

I am trying to install bazzite on my deck while transfering over my main machine home directory (so i can keep the same kde theme and everything) I setup up my steam deck with the same username and password as my main machine and tared my home dir however I am having issues with permisions. shouldn't the user on my deck have the same permisions as the user on my main machine?

Vesktop failling to launch (again with new error)

So i previously had issues with vesktop that were mostly fixed by setting selinux to permissive now I am getting a new issue when trying to run vesktop

wayland and xwayland clipboards do not sync (KDE)

I notice if I try to copy and past something from a wayland window to a xwayland window it pastes the last coppied text/item from the xwayland window seems like wayland and xwayland have sepreatte clipboards? this is on bazzite-deck with KDE

windows apps through vm RDP

anyone gotten https://github.com/casualsnek/cassowary or https://github.com/Fmstrat/winapps/tree/main working on bazzite? can't get either to see the windows VM for some reason i named both the windows system and the virtual machine as RDPWindows but i get

Run existing windows install as a flatpaked VM

as the title says I want to run my windows install I have on a seperate nvme disk in a vm. I will be using this just to run the odd windows app that does not play nicley in WINE. I do not need GPU passtrough or anything like that (I really don't even care about passing the disk natively as a pcie device for better performance) ujust setup-virtualization uses virt-manager correct? this is kinda overkill for my use case. would it be possible to achive what I want with the simple flatpaked gnome boxes?

Bazzite Gamemode HDR on a LG C2 oled

Toggling the hdr option in steam when in the gamescope session does nothing on my LG C2 (just filkers and nothing happens) HDR works perfectly fine in a plasma session, its only in the gamescope session that it has issues. https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=1fdc847914

Slow internet sppeds compared to windows and othe linux distros

on windows and other distros on the same machine I am able to take full advantage of my gigabit internet. for some reason on bazzite its limited to 100mb here is a hw-probe because the ujust device-info is broken for me https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=d8baef4dad

systemd service to run apps headlessly in gamemode

I am trying to run some apps headlessly in steam game mode (pcloud, openrgb, discord, and jamesdsp) all these apps except openrgb should ONLY be run headlessly when in steam game mode, otherwise they start up as normal by kde's autostart. so far this is what I have

Vesktop stoped working after reboot

I been using the vesktop flatpak instead of the normal discord and it stoped working after a reboot. this is what I get in a terminal
