Help diagnose what is causing entire OS to freeze?
Hello friends,
Lately I've been experiencing the OS freezing.
By that, I mean there is no graphical updates, mouse does not move.
Audio will continue, like youtube videos, so processes are still running.
I first found this freeze while trying to open an image with the default Gwenview image viewer.
It also froze trying to open the same image in GIMP.
(I have no idea why this image breaks bazzite, but damn).
And lastly, it froze at random during general use. Last action I did was alt-tab I believe.
All 3 of these occurred today.
No new software or anything has been installed. I've been playing Minecraft a lot more lately, so idk if it has something to do with JRE.

Steam games fail to open, and memory leak
Hello friends,
It seems like any steam game I open it fails to even show anything graphically.
No windows open, and steam simply acts as if the game was closed.
Not even native games like Unturned load.

Escape From Tarkov, causes entire DE to crash when alt-tabbing. And apps don't graphically update.
Hello friends,
first issue, no graphical updates unless app restart
Playing any game seems to mess up wayland (just a guess, idk). My browser, my discord, steam and etc apps will stop working. They are still open, but they do not graphically update whenever I interact with them until I close the game and restart those apps. I read elsewhere said this could be a nvidia driver error when vram is maxed but idk.
second issue, worse all apps fail to open while the game is running
Sometimes it can be worse than just failing to graphically update - sometimes the system gets in a real fit. Trying to open any system apps, like system monitor, screenshot, etc, the apps will instantly crash with a crash popup in the bottom right. They never even get to fully start.
third issue, worst of all
But even more egregious, sometimes the DE simply crashes entirely with kwin crash handler or something asking me to submit a bug report. I lose all data or progress in anything I was rendering, recording, or etc.
I'm making this thread because I'd really like to troubleshoot and get to the bottom of this. I was using Linux Mint Cinnamon before and never had issues like these.
