Help diagnose what is causing entire OS to freeze?

Hello friends, Lately I've been experiencing the OS freezing. By that, I mean there is no graphical updates, mouse does not move. Audio will continue, like youtube videos, so processes are still running. I first found this freeze while trying to open an image with the default Gwenview image viewer. It also froze trying to open the same image in GIMP. (I have no idea why this image breaks bazzite, but damn). And lastly, it froze at random during general use. Last action I did was alt-tab I believe. All 3 of these occurred today. No new software or anything has been installed. I've been playing Minecraft a lot more lately, so idk if it has something to do with JRE. Info Center Operating System: Bazzite 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.4-103.bazzite.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor Memory: 31.2 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

all I did was open a webpage (for generating minecraft maps) and tried to upload an image. it immediately froze the OS. fixed the webpage crash. I'll try opening that image now image opens. crashes still persist elsewhere I went afk for 15m with minecraft open in fullscreen. I come back, minecraft is no longer in fullscreen (still borderless though) and the system is frozen. can still hear people talking on discord.
