XS is a 30 waist lately. I think they’re less slim than the Orslow.

Figuring out what you like
I’m 4 years in and I still don’t know what I truly like because there’s what I like on other people and then what I like on me, and then there’s comfortability, location, weather, peers, etc.

Figuring out what you like
Truth is….its always going to change and you’ll always gravitate towards more expensive garments as years go by. I’m ready to have my first purge(eBay) and there isn’t much I really want to keep after discovering a few new brands.

Wythe
I have 4 flannels and have experienced no shrinkage but it’s not impossible if you leave it in way too long. You would really have to fry it.

I like work shirts the best so far. I think I have 4. I never got around to the OCBD yet but will probably get a white one if it isn’t too long in the back.

storing clothes
Pants, jackets, shirts I hang. Wool and linen I fold and put in those NMWA satchels and then into storage containers so the Mothman can’t come and eat them at night.

I wear stuff kinda low also. The Sage de cret stuff is kinda similar. I like the slight crop.

A lot of my clothes are relaxed/wide and lean younger so I try to offset that with shoes.

Dressing Your Age - Topic of the day 6/14/24
I’m 49 so what’s appropriate for my age to wear is always in the back of my mind when making purchases. I find that I can straddle that line pretty well with Japanese brands but adding sneakers to any fit puts me way over that line therefore I avoid them.

The Real McCoy's
I received the black linen pajama pants today and they’re pretty nice. They are super lightweight so if you’re looking for something with substantial weight and thickness, these aren’t it. The small has a waist that’s 18.5 inches across so you really have to cinch them, which In fine with me, but just letting others know.

It’s an old way for northerners to slight southerners. They’re calling them dirty, slobs, or beneath them.

Southern old money basically means you’re wealthy but you wouldn’t even know how to dress wealthy because that isn’t the life you lived, because your money came from (as someone else said, a plantation, etc. So it actually is about the aesthetic in a way.

Then there’s “southern old money” which means something entirely different.

Well it’s been recently rebranded. It’s a term you’d hear in the 70’s and 80’s pretty regularly.
