EXTREMELY fussy black tie question RE: bow tie shapes

I've finally taken the plunge and purchased some opera pumps for my tuxedo. It seems that the only non-garish options for bows on them are grosgrain 'butterfly' (although I went for flat bows). I own a butterfly bow tie and a diamond one -- does that mean that I shouldn't wear my diamond bow tie with my pumps? Note: I'm in the (slow!) process of putting together a completely-by-the-numbers black tie, and an informal/warm weather variant (eventually getting the ivory DJ, but I can't swing it yet)

Advice on casual, non-tailoring clothing ideas

I'm a big classic menswear kind of guy, which means I've kinda put all my skill points into tailoring. I feel like most of my outfits are too dressy for me to bum around town in, but the second I get out of my dress clothes, I turn into peak 'dad' -- Brooks Bros polos, chinos, Sambas, etc. I don't seem to be able to find clothes that I like that are casual and interesting (to me), and have just settled for boring, rumpled 'regular guy' clothes. Is there somewhere to look for casual clothes that still have the same polish of tailoring, without the connotations?

OCBDs with *casual* suits?

I own and regularly wear a solaro suit and a navy seersucker suit. Both are Neapolit-ish in construction, and both are clearly made to be more casual suits. I wear them with OCBDs sometimes, because pairing them with ultra-crisp shirts feels a little incongruous, especially when I'm trying to lean into the casualness of the suit. I feel like there's a small-but-vocal segment of classic menswear guys who insist that this is verboten, but I'm not committing a faux-pas here, right? I know better than to wear one under a charcoal or navy worsted suit, and all that. Just checking to make sure I'm not crazy, here!
