Potentially Off-Topic: DE Razor Recommendations?

I've been using Feathers for years, but despite my decades of practice, I'm still cutting myself to shit. Can anyone recommend a more forgiving choice?

It's more about technique imo. But if you think a change is gonna help I can vouch for personna platinum

Second astra platinum Worth noting that in my case I had to stop shaving with any kind of wet razor and switch to an electric because my skin, particularly on my neck, just started bleeding constantly despite years and years of good form and next to no cuts beforehand (except when learning). I swapped from my platinums to derbys and also swapped from a closed comb to an open comb but no luck, so it possible that youre experiencing particularly sensitive skin like me feathers are particularly sharp though, a lot of people cut themselves with feathers

I feel like it’s worth analyzing your technique- you should only really be cutting yourself if you’re either pressing too hard or moving side to side / not contacting appropriately. They’re certainly not forgiving, but anything is still a razor blade and will cut you if the technique is lacking.

When I used them, I liked Wilkinson Swords. I tried the Feathers but they felt too light and flimsy. I couldn't get the right feel with them

Buy like a sampler pack of blades and just try them all. I've definitely had some blades cut me but if like 2-3 different fresh blades from seperate brands cut me I'm more inclined to say its my angle.

Are you cutting yourself or do you have razor burn?
