On the other drivers, the dir pin polarity switches so I guess this means board is defective.

I'm assuming I do this while driving the motor. What would indicate that I need to replace the board? I feel like I've ruled out any of the other components being bad since I have tested new spares of each. The octopus board is most suspect because the amazon seller sent me the wrong one. I bought the H723 but they sent the 446. Plus it has the MCU negative temp problem. I shelved the project for a while so it's too late to return. Oh well.

I just swapped the motor for another LDO pancake and also swapped the driver with a spare. No difference. motor goes only one direction. Wiring is attached to the motor so I think that's not it. I checked all versions of the octopus pro config files and they all have the same dir pin, PG3. Can you think of anything else to check before replacing the board?

Thanks guys. I think this may be a hardware or wiring issue. I'll follow up when I figure it out. I think the config settings are not the cause of this issue.

I tried reversing the dir_pin and it did nothing which leads me to think there's something wrong with the wiring or the board. This board may be bad because the mcu temp reads incorrectly and intermittently gives negative temperatures.

I tried relative_extrusion both true and false but it didn't make a difference.

The extrude button works. The retract button also extrudes.

do I just copy paste the text of config here? the filament is still loaded. the long retraction is moving forwards instead of backwards. I tested with relative_extrusion = True and it did the same thing.
