Yeah 1800 for a hopsack blazer is mega steep. They don’t even offer long and short lengths

They are fine if you like the cut. Super soft construction and the button stance is a touch high. I wouldn’t pay retail though

Alden pretty much never has sales - you may be lucky if J Crew slips with a code or if a retailer is getting rid of the last stock. However, plenty available secondhand on eBay for 2-300 if you’re open.

The chambords are a weird last - long heel to ball and then short toe box. My big toe rubbed on the inside and that’s never a problem spot for me

Buck mason has a cool belted raincoat with big patch pockets and the full saddle paperback chinos are good WW2 style chinos but not sure they are worth the price
