Printing issues on new 500 IDEX
I have mine pretty much setup. It prints pretty well. However when try print something with tolerance let print in place the parts don’t move. I did the flow rate and extrusion multiplier and looks ok. Here is gear tried. What could I be missing?

You need to make sure that you've done VAOC to keep the offset correct. This looks like pink is merging into blue, most likely caused by bad offset.
Have you completed skew calibration, VAOC, and done a idex offset test print?
I have done all that, The VAOC looks good.
Pressure advance is another thing to try
If you print a idex calibration print, can you send a pic of it?
I am printing one now.
Also what is best way to tune PA? I think I have it right but could always double check.
Im not sure there's any best way, the best way is to tune it to look the best on real world prints, but how to do that idk lol
A good way is to run a 50x50x100 cube in your slicer, 2 walls and low infill, and then run the PA tuning macro in RatOs once it starts printing. Then measure what corners look the best. There's docs on it
Where is doc for that?
This looks ok, alignment wise is good
I thought I was pretty good.
Maybe not, having a hard time finding it.
But if you run the PA macro in ratos, you just measure from the bottom and every mm is 0.001 PA
So print something like this?
50x50x100
so much taller? Should it be hollow?
Yes https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/1331777734761910395/1332007584999276657
It should be 50x50x100
2 walls
Little infill (15%).
like this?
You can put 2 top layers and 2 bottom layers if you want. But yes
kk
printing now.
when do I press Initialize PA tuning?
After it starts the first layer
started
kinda long print.
it is because it is intentionally printing it slow to exaggerate the effects. You only need to print until you are seeing bad results. I normally don't print the entire thing
How do I find the PA setting from this?
the documentation has the details
I used the marco in RatOS Initialize paz tuning. Would it be the same?
no idea, I've never used it
Yes
Except the factor is 0.001

So with that I come up with 0.043
I will change that and try gear again?
almost done
great. Need to reprint. Big layer shift!
starting again
Still the same. Not sure what issue might be here
Try printing it single head
If it prints correctly it's a idex alignment issue (or stringing)
If it's still bad on single head it's a slicer problem
May have to mess with shrinkage issues
