What do you think of graphic tees? Where do you get yours? How do you style them? What makes a good or bad graphic? What are your personal favorites?

Graphic tees are great. Just gotta have an eye for a good graphic. But a great way to add visual interest to your shirt and express yourself.

My personal favorite brands are Braindead, ByParra, Cav Empt, and Pleasures (though I hate their blanks). Also Supreme is hit and miss.

I think graphic tees are strongest when its a simple graphic or crazy over the top shit like online ceramics

Do yall make a distinction between graphic tees and tees with big ass branding? Is there a line for you when a branded tee becomes a graphic tee?

It all comes down to if the branding looks good or not so yah i guess i consider it the same as a graphic tee. Supreme box logo obvious example
Speaking for myself i think graphic tees add some levels of visual interest that would be lost with a plain tee

this could be cope of getting old but I went off graphic tees and now I've come back around and started buying band tees when I go to shows if they have cool ones

I'm a big graphic tees guy, because of the accessibility of the graphic in terms of how information can be conveyed, I feel like a lot of ideas and reference points that I would like to represent are most easily able to be shown there (i.e. if there's a band tee that really pronounces how I feel when I listen to the band, it's the item I'd most likely grab rather than try to construct a full outfit around it. Same with events that are inherently pop culture like Expo 86 or the Olympics)
Got a big slipknot shirt and I don't even like that band it just looks cool

i like graphic tees, though i went through periods where i fell into and out of favor with them for a number of reasons - what was being communicated, what i felt they said about me, etc
i think a "good" graphic tee is fully dependent on its wearer and their personality, whether it's a large scale graphic that covers tue shirt or a tiny pocket feature

though even then they’re also nice because usually it’s an artist’s first piece of apparel merch, and it’s a great way to support them and show off their art all at once

some graphics i personally rly like im not sure other ppl would. but that's kinda what's fun about graphics i guess
in terms of brands i like byparra, kacy world colors, the niche seed packet tees and some of the uniqlo x basquiat/haring collabs
Not big on Tees in general, but looking to reintegrate my old band tees. Also maybe an incentive to go to concerts more often again (lol), kinda stopped during covid and never picked that habit up again

She’s Oklahoma/Red Dirt country which usually stands in contrast to mainstream/Nashville country. Her husband is the lead singer of Flatland Cavalry from West Texas which is another anti-Nashville country music hotbed. Her new album just came out and is good

Man, when I was a teenager, I'd wear the most cringe t-shirts from Camden market. I think back then, it was very much a case of "don't look at me, look at my funny t-shirt" due to crippling insecurity. I did a 180 into only wearing plain tees for a while but these days I'll wear the occasional graphic tee.
the third one is a vintage Kacy World Colors tee from the 90s. They (and Classic Colors who also has good shirts) manufactured Black history graphic tees to spread sociopolotical awareness amongst Black youth
like what some have said, the best graphic tees are ones with some sort of personal meaning that also looks cool and this certainly fits the bill for me. it's been fun trying to work it into rotation even though it's starting to show its age
I’m a HUGE fan of bad graphic tees and I used to dig dumb designer tees too. Less so now, but dumb/borderline rude graphic tees are my jam

which i guess i mean the way the instruments end up having their own feel instead of it just being “guitar 1/guitar 2” for guitar/bass
