I am wait listed for CPA in September. Do you think I have any chance of getting a seat and or should I just give up on it and accept my offer for another college? This absolutely sucks. ( I also have an offer for information technology studies but i dont know if i wanna take it since i dont know if incan transfer to cpa after the first semester withoutbpaying fees again)
Has anyone been waitlisted for CPA september ? Where you offered a seat afterwards? If so, how long did it take....

Do you have to pay full tuition fees for a single course?
So I forgot to take a gen ed course earlier in the program and I need to take a single course this summer to graduate. Seneca service hub is a bit slow to respond so I'm curious if someone knows whether the tuition will be recalculated based on course load

Anyone else apply for your post graduate work permit as an international student yet? If so, what is the process and what can I expect?
Seneca Graduates give freshman advice
What’s going on, I wanted to create this thread to give Freshman advice on going into Seneca for comp sci. Especially because there isn’t any tips and tricks for study technical classes online. PLEASE ADD ADVICE YOU HAVE THANKS
1. Study to understand not to memorize
2. Use a second brain, your brain isn’t for remembering short term stuff like deadlines and exam dates. App of the Year 2022: Notion offers a free student plan with unlimited version history so you never accidentally delete course material.
3. Pomo do Technique, trust me it works. After 5 hours of this I feel refreshed and not tired. ...
In-person online?
Hey everyone, I was wondering about the in-person courses offered by the CPA program. Are there any accommodations available for those of us who live far away? Is it possible to take these courses online instead? Thanks in advance for any info!
Coop work permit for International Students
Hi everyone
I've arrived and Canada and have included in my study permit application that I have coop. But when I went to retrieve my student permit at the airport, they said I don't have a coop permit issued to me which is strange because it is part of my program (CPA).
Did anyone else experience the same? Thank you!...
application for graduation
do people need to register for graduation and convocation? I am late i guess
Any Mac users in the program?
I bought M1 Macbook Pro 14' last year, hoping I will be using this in the school to code. Unfortunately, I heard it's best to use Windows in CPA/CPP program due to Mac not being compatible with Seneca's software. If this is the case, I was thinking of installing Windows on Mac with the use of Virtual Machine. Has anyone tried this at all?
tldr: Is it possible to use Mac in the program or will I suffer a lot from using it?...
Discount/Offers for commuting?
I’m starting at Seneca soon and i will be commuting from Mississauga which means i’ll have to take a minimum of two buses to reach the campus. Are there any discounts or offers for students i should look into? Oh and i’m under 19 if that helps.
Also if anyone is commuting from Mississauga, let me know if i can join you (I will pay)....
Question about General Education Courses
so yall know when you go to student home and check your academic requirements, are we only limited to the Gen Ed. courses listed or can we enroll to other courses so long as they're a social science & sciences/humanity & arts course?
Is it realistic to land a COOP job after the 3rd semester?
I have a feeling it's very difficult to land a COOP job as seneca student. I want to apply to COOP asap so I don't have to study and work at the same time, I can just focus on work.
Are classes at Seneca International Academy just online classes?
My schedule has a few occurences where I have 5 minutes between a class at Newnham and a class at SIA. And if they're just online, what's the difference between Off-Campus, SIA, and Virtual Campus?
What does it mean returning students?
In some sections of the schedule it says that it is only for "returning students". I dropped a course and when I want to take one of these sections I mentioned, can't I get them?
new student starting CPP in may - need some help/share of experience
hey,
so Im starting this may as completely no experience college student, and no programming experience at all. I am also on OSAP.
my early enrolment is tomorrow - april 11 - so Im doing a little bit of research beforehand.
apart from COM101 all classes are in-person, and I live 50min away from the newnham campus. I would prefer classes starting mid-day, but as im trying to create a schedule Im having a hard time making one that has a healthy start-to-end times that wouldnt have me come home at 7pm every other day with all 5 courses spread through the week.
Ive mentioned Im on OSAP and my funding is calculated as a full-time student, which means 60%+ of course load and thats at minimum 3 courses. ...
