I assume it is like leather that has been "blended" and glued together? Which would explain its response to these tests

Plastic would also melt, which this did not. However it just seems too good to be true to be real leather.

I'm not really a suit guy so idk but I guess if you want to look conventionally good in a suit you would want to wear jewellery that matches; simple but elegant.

If you are looking for some simple metallic jewellery I would just thrift. You could fill a cargo ship with the amount of rings and pendants found in thrift stores.
