so i talked in here and im about to install mc rn from modrinth app which version of the game should i install so that i can use distant horizon and bliss shaders
and does it matter which version of vanilla Minecraft i downloaded for mods

Minecraft java noob
im switching to java for the first time and I don't have Minecraft installed on my pc
should i download the latest version of Minecraft (which i think is 1.21.4?) or
1.21-1.21.1 (which is the latest DH version)
i also need to use shaders so I'd also need iris.
would my game version affect the DH version's comparability?
