opinions on long coats?
I’m debating whether or not I should pull the trigger on an (ankle-ish?) length overcoat. On one hand I love the style, on the other I feel as if it’s something that will quickly turn impractical: it’s harder to feasibly wear indoors and, since I’m usually inside, in a car, or walking trails (where dirt might get on it), I worry that it won’t get much use. If you own one, what do you think? Do you wear it as often as you’d like?

Thoughts on SuitSupply MTM?
Given the number of pattern adjustments they allow for and the fact that I already have suits which fit me flawlessly, I imagine I can get a good fit, at worst, after some alterations. The question then becomes, is the quality worth it? I'd be going with a full-canvass option and want something that'll hold up. With their production model and with things I've heard about brands such as Indochino, I'm wondering if there's been any problems with basic integrity. Any other thoughts or tips would be appreciated. I'm aware of the StyleForum thread, but it's 1600 pages. I'm aware of Spier & Mackay, but they don't have the fabrics nor cut I'm looking for.

Spier & Mackay buttoning point
Does Spier & Mackay tend to place the buttoning point of their jackets high or low? For reference, on a 32-inch-long jacket I'm usually looking for a buttoning point at around 13.5 inches from the bottom (which is usually in-line with the cut of vintage suits). Also, if you have experience with Spier & Mackay, particularly size 42, would you generally say the fit is good? Any issues with sleeve pitch, armscye, etc.?

common RTW soft tailoring brands?
i usually use the styleforum spreadsheet to find suits on ebay, but the majority of the listed brands specialize in traditional, highly-structured tailoring with that said, does anyone know some good brands i could try to look for on ebay that have a softer style: spalla camicia/unpadded shoulders, less canvassing, etc. doesn't necessarily have to be a neapolitan brand

wide leg trousers recs
im trying to get a pair of wide leg trousers (9-10 inch leg opening at a 36-38 inch waist). since most retailers near me only sell tapered fits, i'm kind of relegated to shopping online. with that said does anyone have any recommendations for where i might find a pair of nice quality pants like this for an affordable price? i've checked out rubato and casatlantic but the hip measurements are far wider than what fits me. i see that j. crew now has a "giant fit" trouser but they don't provide detailed measurements. anyone have them?
