wide leg trousers recs

im trying to get a pair of wide leg trousers (9-10 inch leg opening at a 36-38 inch waist). since most retailers near me only sell tapered fits, i'm kind of relegated to shopping online. with that said does anyone have any recommendations for where i might find a pair of nice quality pants like this for an affordable price? i've checked out rubato and casatlantic but the hip measurements are far wider than what fits me. i see that j. crew now has a "giant fit" trouser but they don't provide detailed measurements. anyone have them?

Define affordable? The j crew ones are kind of a meme but I’ve heard they’re decent

Ok, so hear me out 🙂 On a recent trip to a thrift store I saw this wide fit, pleated Brooks Brothers pants called Elliot Fit. When I tried them on I was shocked. Beautiful drape, aligned with the current trend, pleated/cuffed, and dirt cheap (I paid $7 for them). Every time I go into a thrift store I see these pants. There are a ton of them being sold on EBay as well. They come in a few colors but this light taupe, almost ecru is the most popular color. They’ve become my go to pants for everything.

Oh, this is very flexible! I have a pair of Orslow's "Vintage Fit Army Trousers" that are basically the Jcrew chinos but better in several ways (heftier fabric, higher rise, more ethical production etc etc). Many Japanese repro brands specialize in recreating those wide military chinos - these include Fullcount, Warehouse Co, Pherrow's, and Allevol. You can take a browse through the Trousers section of the store Clutch Cafe and see if there's anything you like. I have other suggestions, but I would start with these since they are basically far superior versions of the JCrew pants you mentioned.
