Switching from Multiple Output plugin to Aitum Multistream plugin help
Hi guys I've been using Sorayuki's Multiple Output plugin for a while now and it usually works just fine with youtube set as the main stream and twitch as the secondary going through the plugin. However i would like to test Aitum Multistream with my settings but im having a bit of trouble setting it up mostly in regards to resolutions
The safe option would be to do it as i do it now. Have youtube be the main stream and then use twitch in Aitum with separate settings and just set the rescale there but as Eposvox and others recommend i would like to try and switch it around.
Right now with the SoraYuki's plugin I stream to 1440P to youtube (canvas and output resolution) with HEVC and through the plugin itself 1080P to twitch H.264. Does Aitum stream with Output resolution in OBS Video tab settings or the Canvas resolution in the same area? Should I keep those both at 1440P and then in the output tab for twitch use the scaler there and put it to 1080P? And then in Aitums settings don't rescale for youtube? I can provide images needed for clarity on what im talking about.
Also is it possible to setup details for the youtube side in OBS this way as well because it only asks for a stream key as opposed to linking accounts.
Thanks!

Moving from X264 to HEVC
TLDR Currently recording at X264 14 @ 1440P (should be 17 i know) and want to know the equivalent of HEVC for 1440P or recommendations. Also rendering out with Vegas using Voukoder CRF/CQP should i still render out to X264 or change that to HEVC there as well?
Hey guys so while i want to use AV1 im not willing to go next gen and theres no cheap intel cards here yet im thinking of moving to HEVC for space savings for recordings due to going from 1080P to 1440P. Right now im using X264 at CQP14 which was a leftover of my old 1080p settings instead of 17 for 1440P (which i should change to 17 if im going to keep using this)
After recording i then remux the file to MP4 so Vegas can read it and then render it out using the voukoder plugin, so i can render out again using CRF or CQP (i tend to render with the CPU not minding the wait times) Question is what number should i use if i go with HEVC to keep up with mostly the same quality with a bit of space savings and is there any disadvantage using HEVC over X264 and just wait to go to AV1 instead?
Thanks!
