But slowness could be a few things if that is the main issue, are you noticing photos are larger towards the end of the print? or are you keeping stuff in memory that you could write to disk or release?

Moonraker-timelapse has the ability to toggle between taking pics with the toolhead parked, or just while it is printing. It is probably just in their gcode macros, so you may be able to take some parts of it https://github.com/mainsail-crew/moonraker-timelapse

Nice, may try to do something similar this weekend 🙂 smart to just crop out the reflections around the focused area

Damn, this is badass dude, nice work!
Are you shooting through an enclosure? I've always had issues with glare when trying to use an external camera unless it is right up against the panel

Consistently spaced, Uninstructed Y-axis movements
After swapping all x/y motors to different MCU ports, rather than just the ones acting erratic, the issue has disappeared and the problem seems to be located --> the board itself

Consistently spaced, Uninstructed Y-axis movements
Reverting back to configs prior to Beacon Contact showed the same issues during print, so that's ruled out

Y axis jamming when moving rapidly
If you can't move the toolhead in the Y-direction by hand, but can in X, there is probably binding happening between the linear rails (Y) - did you align them with eachother yet? Bascially you make sure 1 is straight with the MGN12 alignment tool, then you loosen the opposite side rail, move the gantry back and forth and tighten the rail down as the gantry passes by it. This aligns the 2 rails together

After update: Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_x' register DRV_STATUS
Usually this relates to a hardware issue, like wiring, loose connections, etc - did you happen to adjust anything hardware-related?

That, or just a note in the stowable probes ratos docs that you'll have to edit the above 🙂

RatOS Adaptive Mesh requires manually editing bed_mesh horizontal_move_z
Got it, that makes sense - ya I can see both sides, it's an attribute of bed_mesh, but it's also directly related to the probe you're using.
Just brainstorming, if 5 is the default, is there some way you could create a "probe_horizontal_move_z_offset" variable that you add to the bed_mesh horizontal_move_z value? That way the definitions stay separate, but are logically combined
