I live in Birmingham, AL.
budget-wise, a comfortable threshold would end at $60-75, but if it's something that lasts for a couple years at least, I don't mind spending more!

haha, well I own both pair already!
2's my signature pair; I tend to get many compliments saying that it fits my face well, so I usually wear them with almost every outfit, but the shirt was incredibly complementary, so I just went ahead and chose 1!

@Duck that's the exact reason why I wore them. these are a special pair I bought from Zeelool. they definitely don't go with every outfit (gonna find a pair that's fully white).

oh for sure - that's definitely something I consider! all-year round, I seemingly stick to boots and thankfully I can still pull off a good spring/summer outfit since it's humid and unnecessarily hot where I live.
I do wear chunky-soled shoes for a lift. hadn't gotten to platform-height heels for boots because I feel like I'd look silly, haha. I can definitely do a 1"-2/2.5" inch heel, but 3"+ I feel like I'd look clownish.

What kind of dress shoes do you guys wear in winter ?
my go-to is boots, usually leaning towards Chelseas. I also love wearing Docs but instead the usual color black, it's a nubuck leather (in love with them). I'll probably buy the classic black pair of DMs when I save up.
since I'm also a bit vertically challenged (5'6") I love wearing chunky sole-styled shoes. I also wear loafers as well.

gotcha. if I don't cut them, I've tried rolling them inward and using a couple paper clips to hold them so it's a makeshift hem. trying to be innovative over here. ☺️

I've also been trying to edit clothes. I'll buy a shirt, but use a fabric cutter to distress or crop shirts and jeans. I'm a statuesque 5'6" and my inseam is 28", which is usually one size under the lowest (30")
speaking of, @cats1312, @bishopcorrigan, do you know of any brands that specializes in vertically challenged men (mainly jeans/pants)?

I do feel like this!
I do feel as if every outfit is me, but I was just trying to find an objective opinion & see if I could make it better, like utilizing different brands that are more quality-driven.

the high-rise slacks has definitely been in my brainstorming process for building a good 50's fit. LOVE the vintage, Grease-inspired outfits. I have a few pair of patterned slacks that I'm ready to couple with a leather jacket, blazer or roll-sleeved tee.
I'll check out Scott Fraser and Tom Ripley-inspired clothes as well.
from the outfits you see, are there any of them that suit me better than the others?

I'd like to pull away from wearing black so much and wear more neutrals or colors for the cooler seasons & even layer things.
I tend to repeat outfits sometimes based off convenience.
