Critique my pants please…
they can be fine on the waist and just not be cut right for your legs. Maybe something with a single or a double pleat might help? gives you more room in the thighs. I've got similar body shape and I find that helps me.

waist measurement + pant size?
wearing stuff higher up your waist, it does often just slide down a little bit over time, like you experienced. I'm a 34 inch waist and have the same thing, its why you often saw people with suspenders with higher waist trousers. You might also find that what works is to get pants that dont have that issue with the buttcrack, (so have a longer/higher rise) and then get them taken in a bit at the waist

I think with the orphan suit thing, you end up with a checklist of things to consider, rather than a hard and fast rules. There will be some things that instantly say 'this is a suit' but I dont wear enough tailoring to know what they are
