DLSS Frame Gen
I read on the valve/proton git that dlss frame gen is enabled in current versions of proton, and various distros claim it to be functioning - am i missing something, or is this not a thing in b41?

grub menu unreadable after new gpu installation
unsure if this is causation or just circumstance, but my grub menu is a scrambled unreadable mess after installing a new gpu. pc will automatically boot into the top entry as normal after timer, and usually grub will appear after manually restarting from desktop environment - but a cold start via power button always produces this...?

missing nvidia x server settings
i've been missing most nvidia settings since upgrading to b41 - is this just the ongoing situation with wayland/nvidia, or is there a way to restore functionality to its prior state?

Discover immediately crashes; won't open
A bit of a noob here; so apologies if this is unclear: In a nutshell, Discover crashes before opening; i.e. via 'plasma-discover' w/ terminal, taskbar updates icon, or start menu. What I've found so far is: plasma-discover consistently crashes with a segmentation fault (SIGSEGV), the PackageKit backend is being discarded as invalid: "org.kde.plasma.libdiscover: Discarding invalid backend "packagekit-backend", QML binding loop errors... ...in plasma-discover package version 6.2.1-1.fc40.x86_64. I have tried many of the more obvious fixes for this; but alas, nothing has worked. Manual workarounds for updates aside, my OCD can't tolerate malfunction - any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😉

wifi driver help
a bit of a noob here - specifically a steam deck power user that wants nothing more than to eliminate windows from my desktop gaming rig (and life entirely) . so everything was going great; plowing thru flavours of linux till my noob heart was content - but at some point i made my wifi driver disappear. wifi works fine in windows; but not at all in any linux distro: unclaimed network, wifi hw missing, driver n/a. i found and dl'd the correct driver from intel; i've sudo-commanded my damn machine to move the damn driver from the download folder to lib/firmware etc. but for the life of me i cannot figure out how to grant myself my god-given permission to put the freaking driver in its proper home - bc firmware folder is 'read only access'. i've searched for days online for the answer to this, tried just about every possible answer i've found - and i'm so close to the solution i can almost taste the firmware folder. but at this point its clear i've hit the proverbial. so if anyone would be willing to point a noob in the 'write' direction (i'll see myself out...), a noob would provide their first born in return. TL;DR: can't put wifi driver in firmware folder bc file system is 'read only' access. tx in advance to anyone w any advice!
