vc3.1 new toolhead
You are correct; it is definitely not normal for your belts to be walking up and down the bearing stacks. For this to be happening, you have perhaps one or more of the following issues. 1. Damaged belts 2. One or more of your bearing stacks is not perfectly vertical. 3. You have a bent (unlikely) stepper motor shaft. 4. One or more of your stepper motor bearings is stuffed. 5. One or more of your bearing stacks is sitting at the wrong height, and your belt is rubbing or riding on one of the bearing flanges. 6. The belt retainers on your print head are at the wrong heights. 7. Your belts are sitting crooked in the belt retainers in the print head (have personally encountered this).

Some familarity makes everything obvious. Its one of the reason that technical instructions are best written by someone with no familiarity with the system....only downside is they also have no technical understanding🤣

I see. I misunderstood and selected change...I thought 'change' was required to committ the changes to the hot end.

Making changes in RatOS 2.1 configurator?
Worked well. The only small issue is that the process of updating via the configurator deleted the overides....but I had taken the precaution of copy and saving those before hand.

Making changes in RatOS 2.1 configurator?
Yep setting it ot Rapido Plus would have got around the issue...but have just retrofitted a PT1000 to it so will be setting it to Rapido plus anyway.

Making changes in RatOS 2.1 configurator?
Changing to PT1000 as when I increase nozzle temp yesterday to 285 C Klipper came up with error and stopped the print as max temp fluctuated slightly higher than 285C and in RatOS 2.1 max temp is set to 285C. The 104GT-2 would read above 285C but just becomes inaccurate. But it's a nice feature all the same.

Failed Beacon Poke test
Looks as I would expect. I may mount a dial gauge on the frame and see if I can measure any vertical movement of the X linear rail when doing the poke test. Print head is very rigid and I am using what might be a genuine Hiwin Z1 light preload carriage, rail. Resting a little extra weight on the bed (my hand) while doing BEACON_POKE_TEST does not change the character of the results. The good news is the first layers so far are very very good and consistent.

Failed Beacon Poke test
First layer tests are coming out very nicely as good as I was able to get them on my best days with the Beacon on RatOS 2.0 so I will probably not chase this further...I have some planned hardward upgrades in a few weeks to will revisit this then

Changing to a brass nozzle with a larger tip surface area made no difference.
